Well, the engineer at JCR got back to me and said that they are updating their design for the skid plate to better accommodate the Maverick specific exhaust system and sending me out the revised design. So nice that I didn't have to go back and forth with them and have this drag out. I will update with photos once I receive the revised skid plate.

Just to update the saga, JCR Offroad says they have one of these on their in house Tremor.

Here are photos of the undercarriage of a Tremor and a regular Maverick AWD. They look the same to me but I suck at those "spot the differences" games. Anyone notice anything significantly different?

If they have an "in house Tremor" I hope that means more skid plates are in the works.

The two photos look the same to me.

They've posted a couple pictures on Facebook of test fitments for skid plates that cover where the felt is on both sides. So should be seeing something in the next few months.

JCR reached out to me today to let me know they shipped the new, updated design catalytic converter skid plate. So far their customer service has been great, I'll update the thread with a review of fitment and updated photos as soon as I receive it.

The updated version came in (on the left), I installed it last night and took it for a brief test drive and the issue seems to be fixed. You can see that they extended it by an inch or two. I'll update after I drive it more.

I just put one of these on my 2024 hybrid. I thought it would be a quick install. You know - just like the video. 'Twas not to be. Maverick was off the ground for a week for this. The included attaching hardware didn't fit my application, so I made my own from some 1/8" thick strap. My hybrid also has a strange cross-piece in front, which gave a nice way to fix the front end of the shield. All button head bolts are 3/8 x 16 into rivet nuts fixed into the shield. The shield was a bit close to the catalytic converter, but because I was making my own brackets, spacing it out a little at the back end was easy to do.
Middle straps are held to the body through existing body holes with 10mm bolts into 10mm rivet nuts. All the way in the rear, above the exhaust pipe just behind the catalytic converter, there is a small cross-bar(center console anchor?) held with long enough 10mm bolts that I could drill the shield on the piece that goes up the driver's side of the exhaust pipe for another button head bolt and use a short strap. In total, 5 mounting points and thread locking compound. Required trimming the hairy cardboard underpanels, but I managed to get them tucked in nicely.
Here's the finished look.
