Yes, constraints change all the time, dropping upgrades does not guarantee a quicker build. I say order your Mav the way you want even if it takes longer so you have no regrets, especially on items you cannot add later. It's better to wait for heated seats if you live in the north than wish you got them on 10 degree mornings. 360 safety features can save you from an accident if you get distracted. I think the BAP will be the best upgrade, especially black ActiveX seats in a Lariat vs brown and blue.
That's a nice idea...
I felt that way when I placed my 2022 order. When my 2022 order crashed and burned. I was changed over to a 2023 order and I still helded onto the hope of getting what I wanted. When the 2023 order bank closed and the talk of the 2024 orders started to roll around, I dumped all of the options off of my Maverick with the hope of just getting a Maverick.

Ford once had an add that said: "Owning a Ford is part of the great American dream!"
Ford if you can't give the customers vehicles how "they" want them and not how you sell them, then you are really a lost cause! The CEO is whipping a dead horse :(

Can't belive those stupid splash guards are still a constaint. I took them off my build and got a vin 2 weeks later. Why does Ford still even offer them.
..
The splashguards also have a tendency to scratch the paint where they make contact. Mine did, so I removed them and installed RokBlokz which do not make contact with the paint.
..

Yes That was a reason I dropped them from my order besides them being a constraint. They are not very good.

I kinda hate that Ford has the market cornered on this. If literally anyone else can bring a cheap Mav competitor to market and get them shipped in a few months, I’d ditch this shitshow in 2 seconds. Unless it’s made by GM, in which case I’d rather wait (I hate their interiors, design choices, and they suck at making hybrids).
GM...yep...that's why the Vega was such a POS

I think it's likely that Ford would like to be able to sell direct to customers, but the dealers have it locked up in laws in most states. This is a case where the consumer should be able to decide if purchasing through a dealer has added value or not and make their own decision on how to buy. Unfortunately we don't get that choice.
many states do have laws about having to go thru a dealer but there are many more votes available from non-dealer related entities that if the public decided it was enough of an issue to influence their vote that the politicians would remove that restriction as it doesn't matter how much money is donated to them for the election campaign if the mass of voters decide they want the restrictions removed and they'd vote for the candidate that is of the same mindset.

Amazon would absolutely charge ADM or worse based on supply and demand.
Or based on which browser/device you order from. More for Safari/iOS users, knowing they like to throw money away. ;)

you musta thought this was opposite day? There is NO reason to choose hybrid over the ECO AWD with 250HP & 4k tow.
There's no reason for me to get non-hybrid, AWD or 4K Tow. Everyone's use case is different. If hybrid's n/a, I'll just keep what I have now until they're available from either Ford or another brand.

Have you noticed California has banned sales of gasoline powered cars starting in 2035 and other states have announced they will do the same? And Federal gov't is pushing adoption of EVs as well as many European nations? Hybrids will be the next lowest hanging fruit they will go after as they also have a gas engine, and likely much sooner than people can even imagine right now. Hybrids are a half-measure solution that may get you a dozen years of use at most before being replaced by full BEVs and be worthless bc of the ICE engine.

I'm not concerned with doom & gloom predictions. ICE and hybrids will still be around, long after I am no longer driving and have returned to dust.

Send your mudflaps/splashguards back to Ford and then they can make someone else's Maverick. :)

I was just looking at available inventory (near me) on Ford's site and noticed that all the dealer ordered trucks did not have the trailer hitch as an option. Another constraint I suppose. And all but one were EB.
