Is it just me or do you guys consistently have strangers approach you complimenting your Maverick?
Yesterday in traffic some guy stopped his truck even with me to give me the thumbs up

Today, I was fueling up and some other guy came over and was asking me about it and couldn’t have been nicer or more complimentary.

I’ve had this for a little over a month and not even 3000 miles and at least once a week someone comes up to me and praises the Maverick.

it’s definitely based on the novelty of it and not my particular Maverick…. The Positive comments are always prefaced with “what is that?”

this is the least expensive vehicle in the fleet and I’m stunned by all the attention it gets.

my friends all made fun of me buying it calling it a chicks truck asking if those come in men’s sizes lol. It’s all true but I’m having a field day with them. Texting them #mavericknation, rubbing it in their faces every time a stranger comes up to me.
I tell them it’s not a truck, it’s a movement.

My family has had enough. Kids are driving age and I’m pushing them and my wife for an all Maverick fleet lol.

Only had it about a week so far, so no, can't say I have. I'm also not as social as I once was and living more rural than I was just years ago lol.

Living in Montana, I feel like people want to roll coal at me more than they want to say "hey, cool truck". Had the same feeling in the Escape I had before it, but TBF, I just sold a lifted Tacoma and before that had a lifted F150. Definitely something about being up taller than everyone else that is enjoyable. But as I age (calm down with the boomer stuff, I'm only 38 ) I care less and less about "capability" and having a big truck I rarely use; and caring more about savings in my wallet and at the pump. So when I'm already going 5 over, cruising on a rural highway getting great MPG's, and someone in a big truck is gaining in my rear view, tailgates for way too long before flooring it to pass in the worst spot they could think of instead of waiting another 3 miles for the better spot, I can't help but chuckle. I've been in that seat and I never drove that way. I don't understand it.

I'm sure I'll encounter some praise down the line, as I have with all my other vehicles, but this one just won't stand out as much either. The whole goal here was to NOT turn heads lol. I am getting wheels and tires, and I have some smaller plans down the line like the OEM fender flares, but it's all about function for me now. The Tacoma I had was total overkill for me. I loved doing the mods, I loved turning the heads, but it's all just so unnecessary.

I guess this is my way of extending the Maverick praise to all of you here. Color me inspired with simplicity.

Thanks had pinstriping the idea in my head long before I received the truck. I thought it was just what it needed.

I’ve had my Maverick for 20 months now, and this type of thing happened to me a lot in the beginning when there were very few of them on the road. I once had a guy do a U-turn and follow me into a parking lot just to check it out.

I got compliments from random passer by the first week I got the truck. Also caught 2 ladies walking by the driveway and discussing the truck, didn't know a cheap pick up could be a chick magnet lol. This week some random door-to-door salesman coming to our house and first thing he said is nice truck.

I suspect this will fade once more Mavericks are on the road over here.

Ya, the Maverick could be called a Movement.
For ME, its a "blast from the past".
I have the same excitment that I felt when I purchased my first Ranger (1985). (This is before digital anything) and the Ranger was in every magazine you could think of.
Mods dominated the Hot Rod magazines and I do remember a mod catalog dediciated to Rangers alone.

The phrase I remember the most...
"Hey, when that thing grows up is it goes to be an F-150.."
