Hey guys,
I recently contacted real truck about my undercover armor tonneau leaking bad. They sent me out a brand new version of the tonneau under warranty. The new cover is great but it still letting in a lot of water. I was very thorough installong using extra black silicone and putty but could use some suggestions on what else todo. It seems like all of the spots where the cover folds is letting water in, along with the two corners closest to the cab. Any help is appreciated

Don't have that specific cover but mine leaks more if I park where the bed is level or the front of it is slightly down, which allows water to pool along the front and sides. If I park with the back slightly down, which I can do in my driveway if I back in, it drains at the gaps for the tailgate and I have very little leakage.

I had one on my previous Maverick. I liked it, but it also let in some water, just like the Bak hardcover on my current Maverick. The best way to mitigate this is to ensure full coverage of areas around the back window, then down about 1ft along the sides, and make sure you fill the factory seam. I'm assuming you got the 2 drain tubes installed right.

Then get a tailgate kit with large seals and install up box sides. See attached pics on my 1st Mav.

You may want to see if you can nudge the mount clamps down a bit to help get the cover to seat tightly. Good luck!

@MavStangVa - Mine fits about the same as yours and when it pools along the side it goes in at the joints also.

I have experience with installing a tonneau cover on our first Maverick from 2022 (not sure the manufacturer) as well as on our 2025 Maverick (from Calffree). In both cases I was extremely particular about making sure the covers were on correctly, and after installing I laid in the bed with my spotlight to see if the wife could see any light as I ran it along the edges. TBH the first cover was better since it had drain tubes, etc that the new one does not, but it was also twice the price. We have had the '25 through the car wash at our local Zip's at least a dozen times in the last few months, and they have a very intense side spray that I would expect would leak into the bed. But every time I check there are only a couple of minute drops back there, and in rains I get nothing. I would suggest putting weatherstripping completely around the edges underneath your cover and hopefully that will solve the issue. BTW, here is the cover that I am currently using. It is a good, heavy cover of about 50 pounds that retails on Amazon for $449, and currently has a $50 coupon you can immediately apply to your purchase:

I have this cover bought it on Amazon got it next day! about 400.00, I seen a video from one of the guys that works at Real truck on how to seal the bed and it worked, I didn't do it on my 22 FX4 with the Ford soft trifold with the Ford logo on it leaks like crazy where all the seams where in trim and at the back corners by the cab, So with my new Lariat I followed his instructions I bought a tube of silicone at hardware 5 bucks and sealed very neatly those seams, I used the supplied weather strip in the package, it caused the back of cover to stick up just a little, You have to wait a few days for seals to set than go back and re-tighten you will get a few more turns on the brackets. I get very little water at the Tailgate, But it runs down the back of the gate under very high pressure nothing in the box. Sorry don't remember the guy's name you can search on utube he has a channel.

I only plan on getting a soft roll up cover. Everything I'm reading here seems to be about hard covers. Do the soft ones leak as bad and is one better than the others?
Thanks
