Can you provide the part number to the 2.0 engine cover you got? Are there tabs present already or so we need to buy those as well? I haven’t looked under my hood so much so can’t recall if they’re there. Thanks!
Hello - The cover has various names. The most accurate is engine cushion cover because the part is dense black foam designed to absorb the noise of the GDI [gas direct injection] system used in the 2.0 EcoBoost. The cover part number is

K2GZ-6A949-A. Other engine covers, for the 1.6L and 2.3L have similar numbers but won't fit so don't be fooled when you search.

My understanding is this part is no longer in production. Engines on Lincolns with the same 2.0 EB engine had a cover that has "Lincoln" embossed whereas the part number above has the "Ford" script logo.

There are two round plastic studs molded on, if I recall, the valve cover and corresponding holes on the underside of the engine cushion cover it fits into. They are easy to overlook.

However, there are two metal studs you must purchase - a long one with threads on both ends with a nut, and a short one. Unfortuately I lost track of the part numbers.

If you look at an image of the cover, you will see a smaller rectangular hole. This is for the longer stud with the nut that secures the cover. The short metal stud fits on the right. For both studs there are existing threaded holes for the male stud threads

At this point you will most likely need to look in wrecking yards for a 2.0 EB with a cover unless Ford or someone started producing them again. I haven't checked.

When my 24 Lariat hybrid arrived in October 2023 I sold my 22 Lariat EB so I did not keep all my records - they went to the new owner of the 22 Lariat EB. Hope this helps.

I found one from a seller here on MTC a few months ago. Installed it last Friday (picked up my truck last Wednesday). So they are out there.

Ford Maverick Under Hood lining options? EcoBoostEngineCover

If you get it used, make sure the seller gives you not only the stud and bolt, but also the hidden nubby that you screw in.... The engine has 2 nubbies you press the cover onto... but the 3rd nubby must be screwed in... My seller included a hardware kit that had the stud bolt combo and the screw in nubby...

Do the different suffixes fit? I.e., K2GZ-6A949-B or D?

I don't think so. Different number, different part. You might call and ask the parts dept at a Ford dealer just to be certain or go in and have them bring up each part on their computer screen.

These are the parts I ordered....using a 2023 Nautllus cover and then replacing the emblem (Lincoln) with the $5 TURBO plate that they sell on Amazon.

I think you will still need a 1/4-20 nut for the one stud that bolts the cover down (in large rectangular opening) but I will source that locally at TSC if needed since I'm not paying $$$ for a nut. With shipping I think it came to just over $100 total. Cover looks like the Escape one with more ridges on the cover...you can view online...but holes and mounting underneath are the same...they all use this same 2.0L Ecoboost and basically the same cover for Lincolns and Fords.

You might get parts a little cheaper....like $65 for cover...but then some places end up charging 5-10 more in shipping so try different sources for the best total price,,maybe a local dealer if they are very cheap with no shipping charges.
