Here’s another update. I notice that in wet condition like rain slippery mode seems to get a little more grabby than Normal or Eco mode. The brakes feel a little dragged or delayed before engaging. But not as bad as before the update.
So you still have the issue when it's wet? For me the only time I notice the issue is when its wet or very damp out. Sunny days it doesn't seem to happen. I have been holding off on getting the update done..

The update "softened" the effect for me.

2000 miles later I still feel it, but no more OMG! moments.

Hi All - Is the brake update available through the normal dash software updates or does the vehicle need to be taken to dealer for this?
Dealer, unfortunately. Beware that some dealers appear to be completely oblivious or untrained on this kind of update and may refuse to do it for some reason or other. According to Ford's documentation, all that is required is for you to report that you have a hybrid with grabby brakes (doesn't need an error code) and the dealer should perform the update. Reports from others have shown that dealer service departments are not consistent in their interpretations, to put it mildly.

I took mine to the dealer for the side curtain airbag Feb 2023 and asked them to address the grabby brakes (sometimes accompanied with a loud clunk sound) per TSB 22-2493 (I didn’t have a mil light or code, but I politely pointed out the TSB clearly stated it applied with OR without the light/code). They replaced the airbags and “performed TSB 23-2059 updated multiple modules”. My braking has been fine ever since. I don’t know if TSB 23-2060 is an update or just a further clarification.
