Truxedo truxport cover too short?

Anybody have a truxedo truxport cover installed and feel it's too short? I was on a maverick forum on fakebook and a guy popped up on there saying his was too short. Anybody have pix of this cover installed as well? How much overhang do you have in the front and back? Whats your side rail lengths? Mine is still in its box until the truck comes in 4-6 months. It would suck if I had to send it back.

I installed mine and if you push it up all the way against the cab, which you aren't suppose to do. It will likely be short. If you follow the instructions and mount it at the edge of the bulkhead then it will fix properly. Now it won't have any extra at the tailgate for sure. But it does fit just fine. I seen one guy do an install video and he mounted his all the way against the cab and so YES it was too short. He also put the seal on the tailgate instead of the bulkhead. Which was also wrong!

I've spent so much money on accessories between two trucks I had to go cheaper on this bed cover. I am happy with it for the most part.

I can post some pics later today. Harder to see it on my truck though because it's Shadow Black!

Yes they are too short has been mentioned many times. Supposedly Someone was able to get them to just barely fit. I went back-and-forth with the company for a while and theytold me thats what Ford approved. I wasn’t happy with the fit at all so I returned it and bought a Gator Tri fold.

I ordered the truxedo from ford accessories since it was the only one available back then & was also able to use my ford pass points towards purchase and it has a ford logo on it… I wish it were longer approximately 1” too short (I guess when you “say” four and and a half = 4.5, but when you “measure” four and a half it’s 4ft 6inches ) yes it keeps rain & snow out but car wash leaks in - here’s a few pics I had already

I just got my Gator tri fold and am very happy. Its not up agains the glass at the front but about 1/2" back. I did not install the extra bulkhead seal as I am not sure its needed but very easy to add.

I got an RMA# and return sticker for the truxport cover. It's going back. I am looking at the Gator SFX trifold. Not interested in water leaking in, or having to do a hokey fix just to keep water out. Truxedo blew it in my opinion.

How far to the bulk head is yours? I get some water by those front corners. It looks like that's how it's designed to drain water off the unibody bulkhead.

It appears yours is definitely longer than mine, I have about the same in front by the cab & short at the rear seal barely touch tailgate

No water in my TruxPort. In fact, the clamped down gasketed rails seal much better than a tri-fold sitting on top.

He referred to the Truxedo Sport as the "Junxedo Squirt" because it's short enough that it leaks water.

Now that I finally have my truck, I have the Gator SFX trifold cover on it. I like this cover a lot.
