There have been some dealers telling their customers that hybrid vehicles are delayed and won't be available for 6-8 months. Some saying there are thermal issues.

I want everyone to know they are NOT correct.

Hybrid scheduling and production continues each week.

OKTB (okay to buy) is pending EPA testing.

Information straight from the Maverick team.
Have had 3 ford Hybrids, have a C-Max now and they were all awesome vehicles so the Hybrid Maverick should fly through testing. That said, my Maverick 2.0 Ecoboost loaded Lariat just had production delayed from the week of 11/22 to the week of 11/29. Waaaaaa!!!! Hope that's the last delay.

I'm just starting my search for a new vehicle and the Ford Maverick suits the bill for what I need it to do without getting AWD, towing upgrades, higher trim levels, etc. I'd be perfectly happy to place an order for a hybrid now but postpone taking possession until mid 2022. Is this doable at the dealership?

Mid 2022, are you thinking summer of 2022? If so then you will want to wait for the 2023 model year, they are saying they will start 2023 production in Summer. Otherwise you will want to get your hybrid order in soon. They are not taking any more hybrid orders after early November, they are about sold out for 2022 hybrid production.

Man this didn’t age well did it. Wonder if we’ll ever get to hear the story of what exactly happened with the EPA that delayed the Hybrid to winter.

The cynic in me thinks it’s Ford wanting to bump up their stock price by holding off some guaranteed deliveries until Q1 22. They already smashed expectations for Q3 21.

I was hoping for June 2022 to take possession of a hybrid. If I wait for a 2023 model, will the pricing be higher?

If you order now, most likely you will have a May delivery. I don't think there will be any June deliveries because of switch over for 2023. Maybe a July or August delivery, depending on demand.

With how the Fed is botching everything these days and blaming Covid ( Not trying to be political, its a Fed problem not a DEM/REP problem) What if they are just behind on OKTB any new vehicles?

I just read an article about Ford stock prices being much better than expected. Wall Street seems to be very happy along with stock holders! It even mentioned chip shortages easing up a bit!

I bought a new 2019 Ranger in Sep 2019. When I was playing with the Build and Price (B&P) on the Maverick earlier this year I thought the truck seemed pricy. I did the B&P on a 2021 Ranger and the version most optioned like my 2019 truck has gone up about $3,000.

So, yes, the 2023 will be more, especially with this demand.

Not sure where exactly you're located but Mullinax Ford in Orlando area has BEST deal. MSRP, no markups, No Dealer fees.
