I don't know what to say about your sweaty butt, but that sure is a nice looking truck. I got the XLT just because I wanted cloth seats. Maybe get a set of seat covers. 😬

There are no leather seats available in the Maverick. I can't speak to your issue with SA, nor can I fathom how the seat heater would alleviate it.

The same exact reason, I got a XLT instead of a Lariat. Getting into a vehicle where the interior is 147° is bad enough with leather. Worse with active-X (pleather)

Sounds like someone’s got cloth seats and they're jealous. I’ve had 3 vehicles with “vegan leather” in the last decade. No, it’s not quite as nice as leather, but it’s clearly not vinyl. And it’s way nicer than cloth. And it’s definitely not what is used in a $15 pair of bottom of the barrel sneakers. Active X polyethylene is significantly thicker, more durable and more expensive to produce than cloth seating. It’s also why Ford uses it in its upmarket trims of the edge, escape, explorer, expedition, mustang, mustang mach-E and F-150, as well as the Maverick, averaging $3k more than the cloth optioned cars.

Haters gonna hate.

The faux leather seats in my Lariat have held up well. No signs of wear over 3 years of use.

While the Tesla product is not quite the same as the Ford product, I have a 9 year old Tesla with 150k miles and the vegan leather has no discoloration, cracks or tears. It does show signs of wear, but it looks strikingly similar to a 9 year old BMW with real leather seats and 150k miles on the odometer.

For comparison, Tesla vegan leather is polyurethane sprayed over fabric, then stamped with faux leather grain. Ford active X is fabric + polyurethane + recycled polyethylene plastic bottles.

Ford used the recycling feature as a selling point so it doesn't surprise me they included the seats.
