This load was 1080 lbs. It drove exactly the same as it does when empty.

I hate the way the camera makes A51 look baby blue!

Have to agree. put about 900# in the back and it drove like the bed was empty, or close to it. 10ea 80# bags of concrete, topsoil and other landscape goodies. I was expecting it to push me when I slowed down. extremely happy with this little guy.

Recent real truck job I did with the Maverick. I had to move fiber cement siding and cut it to side a house. I used the truck with a bed extender doing 20 - 25 pieces at a time, In this case the weight limit was on the extender and that is about `350 lbs. Drove up to were I needed to hang them. Then I used a second saw horse as I pulled each piece off enough so I didn't have to move those boards twice to cut. I also cheated and used the Maverick in some spots instead of a ladder to hang some of the higher up boards.

That 1497 pound payload is a serious amount. I believe better than the Tacoma and perhaps the Ranger. I'm shooting from the hip here, so I'm happy to be corrected.
