Due to dusty conditions in our area, we are washing our Maverick 3 plus days a week. But even sitting in driveway, it is covered with dust.

So we are looking at Triphene-based coating like MAXEasy™ or MAXL ONE™ as a protective coating.

Reviewers praise the water-repellent and self-cleaning effects, noting that water beads off effortlessly and dirt is easier to remove.

They can be applied to paint, glass, metal, plastic, and even fabric.

Has anyone used either of these products or something like it, and would give an opinion on using them...

Never heard of that one but doesn't sound like anything special. Get some ceramic spray - Turtle Hybrid Solutions Spray, Meguires Ceramic Spray, Griots Ceramic Spray - wash the car and then apply it- it will make it harder for items to stick to it and give you a good hydrophobic coating for 6 months. Pair it with a ceramic detailer every wash and you can extend that longer. You're not going to ever get away from washing your car but ceramic coating (spray or full ceramic) will help things slide off easier and not damage the clear coat. Ceramic coating DIY or having someone do it for you is generally more hassle than its worth if but that's debatable.

Youtube has a lot of comparison reviews for the top products - never seen MAXL in a review but its probably more marketing than anything.

OP I see you're in Michigan, is this like a pollen kind of dust? I know it gets bad come April and May with the pollen.

Post #2 above gives some great advice on sprays/detailing. My recommendation is to also pick up a duster; i.e. California Car Duster, Griot's Car Duster, etc. I have the Griot's one. If the Mav is clean and just dusty, not dirty, then the duster works great at keeping the truck clean and reduces the amount of washing you have to do. Those sprays mentioned above makes dusting even easier.

In the spring especially with all the pollen, I'll dust the truck off every day when I get home from work, again as long as it's not dirty or has been driven in the rain.

We are currently in Arizona. Sorry for the confusion.

No worries! I'd still recommend the duster though. With a waxed or coated car, it's quite convenient to have in order to reduce the amount of times needing to wash!

A friend's wife told me about using Swiffers(dusters). They work very well for both Ohio and Florida dusts and pollens. They dont scratch the finish either.

Funny. I was going to create a post asking about the MAXL One product as well. I searched first and found this string. It does look interesting. I’ve been seeing ads pop up everywhere. I’m a Griot’s product fan and recently saw where they have a Ceramic SpeedShine now instead of the regular speed shine. I wonder if it’s similar? I need to see in Griot’s ceramic speed since is ok on glass now too. The original speed shine wasn’t unless you were using a glass cleaning clay
