I think Colin and HRG answered your questions, but I will say that I had pushbutton start in my Acura for the last 10 years, and THOUGHT I would miss it, but I've gotten over it in the last month. Do I feel poor and ashamed for not having it? Yes, haha. Does it impact much in my life day-to-day? Nah. If you are in and out of your vehicles multiple times a day, I can see how it would be a PITA if it were missing. I only drive every other day, and on those trips, I start the truck less than a half-dozen times. I'll live.

All that said, if you think the Lariat deal(s) you find are a good value, and not having a pushbutton start would be a deal-breaker, go for it! The Lariat brings all the goodies - just be sure you are okay with the "not leather" seating. I was REALLY hesitant to go that route due to the climate here.
I think its different in the car I have now. See in the 2020 Forester Premium if you have key start none of the Subaru Starlink app stuff works becasue the key start doesnt have auto/remote start..oh you can get it aftermarket but that goes into a bunch of other stuff.. but it precluded me from using the app say to start it then set the heater to on and put the heated seats on or what ever..

I had a 2013 Charger R/T Hemi AWD that had push button it was good, wifes car has it I just get used to (i use a rappelling/climbing carabiner to carry keys hook it on my belt got in the charger pushed button and went wifes car get in car push start and go.. get in MY car go to push button..remember its not a push button..proceed to struggle to get the keys off my belt loop whiule sitting and seatbelted in sometimes literally have to get OUT of the car to get to them and then use key... ive had it for 4 years...

i still cant remember most of the time(forget about 65-70% id say) but thats the same with the stupid button that stops the auto stop/start when youre sitting still..4 years later still cant remember that.

thats really my only irritation with keys.. remembering im in a vehicle i need to use it in lol. Its not a deal killer but preferred..

Honestly I prefer non leather seating...wife loves it but im not a fan too nasty in the heat.. IF they have a option id take premium leather or even the stuff they use in the Subaru Outback Wildernes..its almost like a neoprene type deal over leather,

I like the seats from the 2021 Ranger Tremor I looked at...

I went with the FX4 and not the Tremor because the Tremor is a little bit taller. My wife is short and she wanted the shorter truck bed to be able to reach in it better.

Yeah, definitely look at a Lariat Maverick interior before you decide, then. Many people like the fake leather and its cleanability, but without ventilation or any kind of perforation, it looks to me like something I would absolutely get stuck to in the summer. I think the fabric seats look great, and my going-through-drivethroughs-for-milkshake days are mostly behind me anyway, so they should wear just fine.

Ford does have a phone app that will remote start some trims fairly reliably (at least in my experience - I used it this morning) and you can get the HVAC set up a couple of different ways when the truck fires up.

At least around me the Tremor was easier to find and the one Ford dealers were willing to deal on the most. I think because the Tremor in XLT or Lariat are the most expensive Mav's respectively they probably have the least demand.
Around here the preference seems to be a regular old AWD model thats not the Tremor OR the FX4...but of the 2 the FX4 is much more common ive only seen 2 or 3 Tremors even listed in my area.. I need to find one of those dealerships that sell at or below MSRP lol. then that would even open up the 2024 actually... around here they got them marked at 39(XLT Tremor)K and 40 or 41K for the Lariat Tremor

Whats the going rate without a price jackup for the XLT and Lariat Tremor currently I mean im seeing 40's if thats the case no thanks its a nice little truck but its not a 40+K truck

The FX4 will give you better highway fuel economy. My Tremor averages 27 overall. 31 on 2 lane 55-60. Milage drops to 25 at 65-70 interstate speeds. A heavy foot will use more fuel for sure.

I really didnt want a 24 mostly because paying new taking the hit on depreciation.. Id rather finance around 13-16 vs 20K+ as I can get that paid off in 2-3 years that was all. Plus I was looking at(gone now) a 23 Lariat FX4 even had the hard cover and bed liner it was 32 or 33K which is better than closer to 40K now or 40+ with a tremor(i saw a 25 at 40 something K).

Im more in the 36K or less range. Or want to be I guess to get it paid off in 2-3 years instead of 5.
I bought a 24 Tremor XLT with Luxury package and I got $500 off MSRP of $36,670. I put a Rough Country Tri-Fold locking bed cover on for around $700. I don’t need the synthetic leather of the lariat or the push button start doesn’t matter to me. I like the cloth seats better because they breathe real good unlike synthetic leather..
we also have a timberline expedition that has leather cool seats all that stuff so I still love this truck even though it doesn’t have all the stuff of the expedition. Price range was a factor, and this was the best balance for me.. also the ride of the tremor version is so nice and it handles great. When it snows or I get in that muddy situation, the locking diff has really paid off.

Ok Im looking at the Maverick again. I think I can live with the smaller bed as long as I get a hard/lockable tonneau cover to store stuff in a bin in the back due to low interior storage dimensions(fishing/hunting gear and poles for fishing). I like the closer to 30 than 20 MPG to be honest my current 2020 Forester gets that.. this does also.

I dont really off road any very limited.. stuff like logging trails, dirt roads, farm fields. I just happen to like the looks of the FX4's and Tremors VS a standard say Lariat model..(I have no desire in the Hybrid unless they add AWD to that..a non AWD or 4x4 I wont own anymore) What I really like is the availability of the bed for messier chores and the ability to maybe bring appliances home from a big box store or brush, shrubs, bring home mulch or red rock for driveway get some firewood for the fire pit outback.. stuff that makes the inside of a SUV nasty.

This maverick has the bonus of also getting decent MPG compared to say the Tacoma, Frontier and Ranger. Im not really looking new im looking 2023 since it hits that sweet spot I want price wise for me.

I dont tow anything heavy either just a kayak or Jon boat on a small trailer sometimes.. even my Forester can do that..

So Go Tremor or FX4 probably in Lariat and the lowest id go is XLT. Lariat is preferred. I was looking at a 2021 Ranger Tremor but at least the 2023 has some warranty left on it.
I got the 2024 AWD Lariat Fx4 and couldn't be happier . The Tremor just didn't do it for me and I didn't like the orange accents either
