I have a 2022 NON FX4 Lariat without the tow package. I see I have a 2nd smaller “radiator” in front of the radiator. There’s also an oil cooler assembly with hoses going to the transmission and the 2nd smaller radiator.
This is a trans cooler, isn’t it??
The reason for the question, is as I understood, a trans cooler only came with the tow package, and maybe the FX4. I have neither.

Any comments?
Thanks

What else could it be? It won't be a PS cooler.
No option 53Q for you then means maybe someone with a tow package thinks they have a cooler and they don't.

Consider it a bonus if you have one and didn't opt for it.

My non-tow XLT has one as well. Consensus some time ago was the tow package gets a larger cooler, different PN...

It is a trans cooler. I recently had service. A Ford Master mechanic confirmed that’s what it is.
I’m virtually positive that this was not standard equipment on a Non FX4/Non tow package Lariat.
I’m very happy to have discovered this. I was going to pay to have all this added.

That would be the standard trans cooler . Tow package has a secondary/larger cooler.

I believe you and I KNOW that I don’t know.
Having said that, I only found one part number for a trans cooler.
Can you find two different part numbers?
Please understand: I’m not debating you. Honestly, I think I’m probably wrong and you’re probably right. I’m just hoping it’s the other way around 😀🤞

I saw that same thing earlier and thought the same thing.
Google those numbers and look at the pictures
One is for the cooler
The other one is for the 2nd “radiator”

Both PN's are trans coolers. Tow pack one is higher capacity, likely named differently to save tech confusion.

According to this, this is the tow package cooler.
