Dear friends,

Wolfbox needs your help please!

We are looking for some informative input or generic demand from you guys regarding cameras. To get you started, Here're some questions:

  • When you are towing a trailer, what do you want to monitor and why?
  • How do you like to mount cameras?
  • What do you concern the most when mounting the cam?
Any other information is appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

In a perfect world, I'd like to monitor the trailer tires, so I could possibly see a low tire before it destroys itself,,,,,,

Trailer TPMS systems are a thing ...

PS I always check my tire pressure and I've gotten two blowouts in the past 2 years. Dunno if Goodyear Marathons are garbage or what's up but they simply break into pieces. I've switched to Carlisle, we'll see if they're any better

I have a magnetic mounted, wireless, high definition one, with exceptional one-tenth of a mile range. (I tested the video with the trailer left at home and drove away.)

Works great on back of trailer and trailer length does not matter.
Solar rechargeable.
Can be on full time or just when backing.

I got it primarily for use while backing.

My second trailer is aluminum and fiberglass. I could use a mounting solution for it. Maybe a screw-on iron plate so I can still move my great camera between two (or more) trailers.

Thanks for the reply. May I know the trailer models you have please? And does that camera system meet your need? How do you feel about it?

I tow a 90" wide, 90" high, 13' hybrid snowmobile trailer. I want to see what/who (maybe a cop) is behind me. I currently have a wireless (camera to screen) backup camera that is hard wired to the trailers electrical system. Just have to keep lights on in my truck to power the camera that I have mounted along the top edge of the trailer. Two wishes.... A larger screen and a camera lens that is not quite so fisheyed. Lens is just to the left of the center light on the trailer.

I would love to be able to see behind my travel trailer, not only for traffic but also for backing into a camping spot.
