Had a 24 xlt hybrid for about 18 months. Never had a problem. Averaged 46 mpg. Just traded for a 25 hybrid AWD xlt with luxury package. Love the bigger screen and heated seats and mirrors. Sold me the 25 for 32,900 and gave me 24,000 for my trade. Dan Cummins Ford in KY was a pleasure to deal with. They gave me 3,000 more for my trade than my local WV dealer. Basically got a AWD cheaper than a FWD locally. Local dealer called today and offered 21,500 for my trade told them bought out of state today.

May I ask why you traded the 24 for a 25?
Was it for the AWD system and your Mav was a FWD.?

We had an ice storm last year and it stayed well below freezing for about a week and my mirrors has a layer of ice on the that I could not get off. Could not see out of them, and my daughter and son live in a place about 2 hours from us and it snows a lot at house. My wife has an AWD escape but if we needed to haul anything to or from their houses it could be dicey.

Yeah I needed AWD capabilities. FWD would bit be able to climb my gravel roads if I had so much as groceries in the bed. Empty I’d make it but only if I went the long way around.
My short way is very steep and a ton of fun.

10-4 on the heated seats, steering wheel and mirrors.

I start the truck with my key fob from inside my house, It starts instantly, not like the app.

Yeah I’m Lariat spoiled now.

Did you know, ‘Aging is the aggressive pursuit of comfort’
Exposure to uncomfortable conditions strengthens the body.

Fill a medium-small ziplock plastic bag with very warm water and press it against the mirror to melt the ice.

how are you liking the 25 compared to the 24? I recently traded a 23 lariat hybrid for a lightly used 25 lariat AWD, 4K tow, hybrid. The 25 is 6 months old and had 8400 miles on it. Previous Owner had bought it while waiting for his special order Maverick. I got my 25 for $35,500 and got $27,000 for my 23 that had 25,000 miles on it. I like the AWD, don’t like the mpg as the 25 gets about 38mpg compared to 44mpg the 23 mav got. Also don’t like the hvac controls on the screen. 4K tow probably never need as I seldom tow anything. Have you noticed much difference in MPG?

I don't know what you paid for your 24; but let's say $28,000. So you lost $4,000 on your trade-in and then spent an additional $8,900 for the 25. So trading up cost you $12,900 in total. Ouch.

Why does everyone say lost money on the trade? I drive a 24 for 18 months for about 3k. I paid almost 27k for the 24. So $400 per month to drive the 24. I don’t think that’s bad. Then paid about 5k more for the 25 AWD luxury package than I did for the 24. Not a bad deal.

Never saw the sense in being overly critical of the way folks spend their money. In my years as a younger man I had always driven foreign makes, VWs, Hondas, Volvos, and a Datsun truck. Got married and I decided to buy my first ever american made car for my wife. I had followed Chrysler's efforts with the Neon, Pentastar's attempt to profitably build an american made economy car, and decided I'd support american manufacturing and the Chrysler effort (plus I was a newlywed and my new bride thought it was cute). Got the loaded 95 Plymouth Neon Sport in Hunter Green.

Yeah, wasn't long and that Neon had to go! Traded that thing in 15 months later for a 96 Honda Civic EX. Wife drove that Honda for 7 1/2 years until we gifted it to someone in need. Owned it long enough to stop worrying about the initial trade-in losses. Never regreted moving to a vehicle that just felt better all the way around for us at that time. Looks like Johnny did the same!
