I was worried my Maverick wouldn't tow as well as my Ram Ecoboost , But wow ! It tows perfect . Lots of power to pull out of the ramp and home. It Does not strain at all ! I only tow about a half mile to the ramp. My boat and trailer are at least 4500 Lbs. and It hardly squats at all in back. If I traveled with the boat I would want a bigger truck, but it's perfect for now.

I tow my 17 foot boat with my Hybrid and it pulls, stops and drives without issue. The lake is only about 12 flat miles from my home and the boat weighs about 1,700 lbs empty. Add in my gear, gas and trailer and I'm probably over the 2,000 recommended, but I'm very please with this little truck!

We just took our boat out this morning for the first time with the Mav and it did a great job. A little lighter than yours, but I didn't feel any strain at all. I traded in an F150 for the Mav and I'm loving it.

I'll tow anything ( just about) as long as the trailer has brakes. My tri-axle will stop the the truck and trailer with just the brake controller. Also you must load/ balance the trailer properly. I run about 300 to 400lbs of tongue weight.

Yes the Trailer brakes work great, along with the tow mode I hardly touch the brakes on the truck.

You might get yelled at for towing that big of boat on here, but not by me. If it handles the launch ramp, I say why not for short hauls.
I'm a proponent of staying within rated capacities... Just a lifetime of observing folks employing too small a truck on too large a load/job. However, I'd be splitting hairs to complain about moving that boat a 1/2 mile... Totally reasonable.

Um, much more than 300lbs of tongue weight is causing that big squat in your driveway. Note to self: "Don't buy Johnny Maverick's FX4 when it comes up for sale.."

I agree, We have some big hills driving out of my area by the ocean here in N. Calif. and I would Never take this load on that road.

Lmfao! I did move the car back 2 feet on the trailer and the 300lbs of winch sitting on the front. when I'm done with something nobody wants it. 😀

Honestly when the towing gets big I use this. But it's fun to see what the little guy will do. The mav does well.

Well.....now I know that my 3500 lb C-22 on the trailer is just fine behind the Mav 2.0L
I could probably leave the 6HP Yammy hanging on the back of the boat and the only thing it would do is reduce the tongue weight.

Mine pulled the boat out perfect. As good or better than my Ram. It was low tide and slick but the AWD and aggressive tires didn't budge. And only put the peddle down very little and no strain.

I have the 2024 MAV Lariat AWD w/towing pkg. I towed my SIL's 19' boat over the weekend, about 2400 pounds. Up and down hills on blacktop, it towed 54 mph when cruise was set at 55 mph going uphill.

Using the "Tow/Haul" setting on the trans, the trans downshifted to brake assist going downhill.

Next weekend I'll be moving my 24' pontoon on a 2 axle bunk trailer with pulse brakes, about 5200 pounds. But a much shorter distance, about a mile to the launch ramp.

One item to note, the owners manual cautions against drowning the trailer connection module when on the boat ramp. Evidently Ford didn't waterproof it as well as they should have.

you only have a 1/2 mile to the boat dock? life sounds good. :)
i just love how what you're towing appears larger than what you're towing it with, Mavericks Rock!
