Hi Jerry and welcome to the forum.
Scroll to the bottom of this thread and you'll find some threads that you can research. These previous threads will give you a good start.
More will populate as you look OR You can use the search feature too. It is located at the upper top right of the Maverick truck Club Banner.
Good Luck.
A question that would help a lot is. What is your criteria? Cost, Security, Soft, Hard, Usage of the bed, Ease of Removability, Looks, Rollup, Retractable, Foldable, Bi-fold, True Tri-fold...etc.
I am not suggesting any brand or type of Tonneau cover. The only thing I can add, is that I've had tonneau covers soft and hard since 1993 and never had to buy a part for them.

Don’t get the soft cheap covers. They make all kinds of noise going down the highway. Hard covers quieter and better protection as far as locking stuff up.

Some type of cover (tonneau or cap) is a must-have on a pickup, just to protect the bed area. If you live in the snowbelt, think of 3 feet of snow on top and you'll wish you had a solid hard tonneau cover. If you live in other places, how do you protect your load from rain? I've previously had a Ranger with a tall cap, and I still had to remove it 3 times over the life of the vehicle just to fit the load in. That's a big job that is unnecessary with a tonneau cover. I've had a Ranger and a Maverick with a Bison hard-trifold flip-back tonneau, and I think they work very well. I'm not a fan of the hardcovers that do not flip up, as you lose the use of too much bed area. With a flip-back you only lose about 4 inches. Security of your load is another thing to think about. Soft trifolds and soft roll covers are just cheap junk that don't last long and are easily broken into. Unless you are weird and want it to look like a Tesla dumpster or a Santa Cruz, the rollup covers are another thing that I think will screw up after a year or two, necessitating a thousand dollar replacement. There are also $2-3k one-piece hard covers that I can't understand why you would use one, as they are always in the way. Maybe if you never use the bed, but why get a pickup in that case.

Having said all that, I think that the Ford OEM cover and all of the American-made covers are ridiculously overpriced, selling for 2-3x what the Canadian-made Bison costs with free installation. Maybe there are cheaper Chinese ones on Amazon, but I have no idea where to get parts 10 years down the road.

I'm a fan of having a tonneau cover. They help extend the usability of your truck by allowing you to store more things in the bed and hide them from the elements and wondering eyes. They are not 100% secure and if someone wants in they will get in, but it should prevent a crime of opportunity. I had the BAK hard folding on my previous F150 and it was great for about 4 years. After that, the seals started wearing out and it leaked really bad. It also became waterlogged over the years and became very heavy and a pain to use. I just put a hard rolling Truxedo Sentry CT on my new 2025 Mav and so far I am loving this design over the previous BAK hard folding. I also love that I can still see out of my back window when it is fully rolled up when I'm transporting something large in my bed.
