I’m sorry if this is covered already but if anyone has their 2¢ for replacing tires on the hybrid to something more A/T style…
I’m thinking of BFG TrailTerrains which we have on our FX4 and love-
I’m mainly concerned with how much the fuel economy on hybrid suffers from not so eco-friendly tires. Any thoughts from real-world experience?
I’m looking for something a bit better for dirt and gravel road driving. Something more puncture resistance to country or forest roads with rocks etc. Something that will keep the FRD Hybrid more footed if those roads get wet or muddy.

I’m not 100% sure for fuel effects but I as will replacing the tires.. After watching YT and readings reviews and prices I believe I am going with the Falken A/T Trails.. going to up in size to either a 235 or 245, haven’t decided that yet. Following this thread though.

I’m running Nokian Outpost ATPs. They’re all-weather, severe snow rated and are a low rolling resistance tire. There’s Aramid in the sidewalls to help prevent punctures.
Love them so far and the fuel economy around town has been great.
Very limited data thus far on fuelly but I’m happy.

When I get my Hybrid I am doing the Wildpeak A/T Trails 235 or 245 65 17. I have these on a Tiguan currently and they are ingredible in all weather conditions, quiet and smooth for an A/T, and fairly aggressive looking.

Look at OEM tires. Car makers need their EPA ratings.

For the AT crowd, that means there's a new Falken to consider; Ziex are showing up on a lot of new cars with AT aspirations. Perhaps better in cold weather than Trail or Wildpeak, per their blurb?
