Tire rotation and TPMS

Will the truck recognize that the tires have been rotated?

Lariat with push button start so I don't know how to put it in learn mode.

Also, if I put a 5th wheel and TPMS sensor in rotation as my spare, would it be easy for the truck to relearn the 4 sensors that are actually mounted vs the spare?

Per your owner's manual:

WARNING: If the tire label shows different tire pressures for the front and rear tires and the vehicle has a tire pressure monitoring system, then you need to update the settings for the system sensors. Always perform the system reset procedure after tire rotation. If you do not reset the system, it may not provide a low tire pressure warning when necessary.

Procedure should be the same as other Ford models, you just press the Start button without depressing the brake pedal instead of turning the key.

Try, with the key in the on position but not running, press the hazard lights button on and off 3 times. The dash will tell you in activation mode and to start on the left front wheel. I installed a aftermarket set of wheels from TireRack and did this but my TPMS tool failed to activate each new sensor. It even said the learn process failed but they still worked anyways. I bought a 15 dollar FORD activation tool but have not tried it since they are working.


***UPDATE***
This TPMS19 tool did not activate the new sensors from TireRack. I was able to use my Foxwell TPMS tool to activate the sensors and relearn after a software update to the scan tool.

Odd did nothing and it recognizes the sensors after driving about one mile after installing new rims with new Ford sensors .

The sensors still work after rotating, but the pressures shown in the display are for the old location - right rear indicated pressure is displaying at the left front location, etc.

The BCM still reads the sensors but it doesn't know where they are - pic from the service manual:

My cheap programmer, like the Amazon one above, worked just fine

Same here. I installed new wheels and tires with TPMS already installed from Tire Rack and the truck just figured it out on it's own.

I have recently purchased an extra set of rims(with sensors) for winter tires; rims are from 2017 Escape. Question? Will my 2023 Maverick detect these sensors?

Are they 315 mhz frequency? If so, then yes.

Are they 315 mhz frequency? If so, then yes.

Someone awhile back posted that there were a change in frequencies from 315 to 433. So they had to get the dual model.
