I recently hit the 10k mile mark and decided to rotate the tires on my own. After moving them to their new positions I checked the dash info screen to check the pressures. Knowing that one tire had a slightly higher pressure than the others, due to having to patch twice already, the screen showed that the tires had not moved. Is there a way to move the tires (TPMs) on the dash info screen using the steering wheel controls or do I need a diagnostic/programing tool to do this?

How far did you drive after you rotated the tires? Typically it's supposed to pick them up automatically in their new positions.

I thought you needed a tool to set the new position.

The truck should recognize new positions after a few driving cycles...

You are right. Did about a 20 mile round trip and they automatically switched to new places.

First off your supposed to rotate your tires every 5000 miles and you a TPMS reset tool from Amazon for like 15 to 20 bucks

Ford says 10k
I checked Michelin web site and the Ford OEM primacy that's on maverick shows 4-6k rotation OR when uneven tread wear is noticed so could be less than 4, I suppose. Mine were off about 0.6/32" at 7300 miles then at next rotation at 14,500 miles tread remaining were within 0.1/32". 65k warranty is down to 2/32" though I usually replace at 4/32". My quick lane recommends at 6/32" but with primacy OEM's born with 8.5/32" that's tough. I may go with 75k generals altimax rt45's that come with 11/32" but they weigh 26lb for 225's and 28lb for 235's (29.1" diameter also).

As i understand we don't need any tool for the Mav. But you do need to drive to actually cause the TMPS sensors to 'switch on' a centrifugal switch saves the sensor battery when not been driven.
So until you drive the sensors will not turn on. Each wheel location has a receiver to pick up that location so no need to put in learn mode either...
