Thanks for the push to do it. I knew it needed to be done but having someone else say it was the little motivator I needed. (y)

No problem, I need a push sometimes too!

My routine is like this:
- I use a 3-ton floor jack with that HF spreader on it to lift one side, place my stands and ease her down.
- Repeat on the other side
- Leave jack with spreader in contact with pinch weld, valve closed and all weight still on stands as a safety backup.

This is what I do every time, so oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections etc. Ford hasn't touched my truck since they did the PDI.......

I just drive mine up on 2X6s for the oil change. Just needed a little bit extra height to get the screws out of the back of the belly pan. The Ryobi screwdriver is perfect for the screws. Slow, low-pro, and not too torquey--no stripped nuts.

I bought two of these at the recommendation of a forum member and be damned if you don't need all 11" of clearance for them - so these won't work on the Maverick.

I had a 2x10 laying around so I cut two pieces and drive up on them which allows just enough clearance to slide them under the truck with the pinch weld rubber adapter on the bottle-jack-stand.

EDIT: I did buy the 3 Ton jack - the 2 Ton version should work.
you might consider the higher quality CAT 4 ton jack/stand combination for double the price
