Times you have treated your car like a truck…

I am assuming a lot of us are here because we a. remember the last time trucks were available in a smaller format and b. have waited for that to return.
I am also pretty sure most of us have BEATEN our cars I’ve the last 30 years, and I bet those stories are funny.
I will start. From 1996-2008 my daily driver (and commuter) was a 1965 Ford Falcon Station Wagon I had built out of a junkyard. I equipped it with rear air shocks because I knew I was going to beat it, and I did. Worst case was about 2000 lbs of bricks. Boy did that 200 I6 moan about that.

Had a Subaru Impreza wagon once and managed to shove half a (free) huge sofa in there with the other half poking out the back. Drove it home like that. Still don’t know how it fit. That same car moved me hundreds of miles with all earthly belongings in it, almost rubbing the tires on the trip. lol Ah, to be young. Sometimes you just need a truck. No shame in admitting that.

Hahaha, I do this all the time in my company Dodge Journey, as well as carrying 10' lengths of conduit, which completely fit inside. One of the reasons why an Explorer is still on my list,,,,,

Bought a gun cabinet (not a safe). I thought I could fit it into my kia forte with the back seats folded down for trunk access. It didn't fit. Even out of the box, it didn't fit. I had to lay it across the back seat and close both doors just enough to latch, but not turn off the open door lights. I folded the box up and shoved it in the truck with my two car seats.

#1 reason I want the Maverick: So I can just chuck the kayak in the bed instead of setting up the roof rack every time. This spot is probably the most easily accessible boat launch of my regular haunts, but some involve legitimate offroading to get there, which is sketchy in the Focus!

My roof rack has gotten a workout. I moved my brother across the country with it. I built my whole woodworking shop/garage with it.

Garage door. Lol.

An average load. Tried not to vastly exceed the 200-pound limit.

Flopply light shapes that I didn't feel as comfortable putting on the rack.
