Hey Terry, I check it every so often after I get a bunch of emails telling me I've got notifications. I went ahead and ordered a 2022 Colorado on September 6. It was built last week and the dealership is expecting delivery tomorrow. I spent more than I was initially looking to spend, but I think...
Now I've gotten a call from my salesman saying that 4k towing is not available with the FWD. He said my options were to drop the tow package or to add the AWD. I took option 3. Guess I'm out of the club. Take care, fellas.
I just called the 800 number listed in the post (1800-334-4375) and spoke to Michael, who confirmed that this is NOT case. The 4k Towing Package IS available on the FWD models.
Just wanted to start a thread that lists which aftermarket vendors have Maverick stuff available and list pricing on their websites.
I'll start:
Truxedo Tonneau Covers

It's mostly a matter of knowing your own risk tolerance. It makes sense to keep full coverage on a car that's still worth $50,000. It doesn't make sense to keep full coverage on a car that's only worth $2,500. Somewhere in between is your own personal limit. Just keep full coverage until...
A lot of people are opting for the EcoBoost for the AWD. Personally, I prefer mechanical engines that I can work on. I don't see the value in electric vehicles, but there's a lot of liability in the batteries going bad. Also, I want that extra towing capacity.
I know this is a bit off topic, but be careful how you pay for the extended warranty and gap insurance. I have a close friend who is dealing with a lot of nonsense because he bought it all through a dealership and financed it all. He got a loan through a local credit union and bought an SUV, gap...
Don't get me wrong, I love the Sparkle Silver wheels too. For two reasons: one, I'm utilitarian by nature. If it doesn't add utility, I don't want it. And for two, the failure points of steel wheels are the rims. They can dent on hard impacts. The failure point of aluminum wheels are the center...
I'm not saying black painted steel wheels are expensive or high end. But the silver ones are down right low end. I suspect intentionally so to create a bigger demand (and perceived value) for upgrading to XLT or Lariat .
Sadly, a lot of people that spend more money on cars and trucks want to make sure everyone KNOWS they spent more money. Car companies love this and try their best to appeal to that vanity. The silver steel wheels on the XL are a great example. If they were painted black, it wouldn't look as...
It all depends on the damage. But in general, it's not much different than body on frame vehicles, with the exception that you can't just lift the cab or the bed off of it. But, yes, body panels can be replaced or repaired.
I would generally agree, but it all depends on the numbers. If you have a 5.9% interest rate on an 84 month loan, you pay it down quickly. If you have a 0.9% interest rate on a 48 month loan, use the money on something more profitable.
And that's only taking the Maverick into account. A loan...
Seriously, though, the first thing will be a set of good quality, fitted seat covers. I've got children and there's no way they're getting in my Maverick without some sacrificial fabric under them.
I disagree. This thread is 19 pages long because it's an open-ended question that everyone can relate to. Personally, I love the Maverick. I haven't even seen it in person yet or driven it yet, and I love it. That said, there is bound to be SOMETHING that I like the LEAST about it. Nothing big...
