I'd be smoking Crack if I lived with those speeds every day. I remember driving in California in the two per car lane doing 85 beside a solid lane of stopped traffic, and thinking that this is absolute craziness.
I saw videos of spiteful people opening doors while motorcycles were lane splitting .

When I rode, I never lane split or filtered.
I was afraid of this👇

In these tough times...
This single tip saves 20% gas.

Drive 20 mph slower.

Drive ~55 mph instead of ~75 mph.
This can be done by choosing different similar routes or by pairing up with other slower vehicles in the right lane. Can be relaxing too!

Will cost you minutes per day.

This. I take slower routes intentionally for scenic purposes. If I go interstate, I stay at the speed limit. I’m rarely in a rush to do anything because I leave with more than enough time to arrive.

Well, in my area, depending on the day and time, driving 55 on the interstate in the right line would be survivable, but 90% of the time you'd be taken out by the rat race flowing at 80+ or taken out by road rage. The minor savings is a mute point if you want to stay accident free and survive being mangled up in a wreak. I do my best to try to stay around 5 mph over the posted limit when possible but even at that it's common for even the police to pass right on by you just cruising along
The savings aren't minor. Use the left lane if you think gas is cheap.

OK Folks. I put my money where my mouth is.

Drove in usual Stop n Go.
Drove posted speed limits in the city.
Drove 55 (57 set on cruise control) on Freeways where able.
About 40% of miles were highway miles.

Got nearly 800 miles on a tank.
Went two weeks of daily commutes between fill ups. I drive about 80 miles per day. (None on weekends.)

Good mileage. 👍

How in the world could you put 14.531 gallons in your tank. That's impossible the manual States it's only 13.8 gallons.
Ford lied to us😲
I can hear the paper pages of the owners manuals being flipped checking the tank capacity.
I'm being sarcastic.😉
I know hybrid tank holds over 15 gallons.

Probably brings a jack and lifts the left-back corner of truck by 6 inches!

Excellent example.
And 1 m to empty even.

My last fillup saw me 1 day on the wrong side of the 13 cent increase - argh.
If I'd made time and hit the station at 1 mile to - eh, $1.82 saved - still, it's the principle of it!

Just think if you didn't take it on the freeway.

I am simply not going to drive 55 in an 80, 70 or even a 60 zone I am not going to be that guy with everyone stacked up behind me flipping me off thinking Im just a nut behind the wheel. I use 87 octane because the 93 has the same amount of ethanol as the 87 and its the ethanol that kills the mpg not the octane
