Wow, never even thought of that, still, I guess my naivety is enough for people to call me a liar.
I apologize for the lack of clarity in my post. What I was getting at is that there are some, who put in 2…3…5…maybe even up to 10 orders at various dealerships, with no deposit necessary, at no risk to them, to increase his or her chance at winning the “Maverick Lottery”. Once they get their Maverick, the remaining orders, if scheduled and built, will be left for the dealers. This should indeed piss someone off because for each one of those additional orders filled, someone else gets screwed. Those are the orders that I was referring to. For the legit orders that people back out of, I get it. I, myself, am soon approaching the time that I will need to make a decision to move on or wait, and mine is just a September 2022 order. I also did put in a deposit. That will be great for the dealer and suck for someone else and I hate that.Yes, we should be pissed about people who placed good faith orders, likely with a deposit, yet could not wait an unexpected 500+ days for their vehicle to show up and eventually had to go in a different direction.
