Where did you hear this? Last I heard was the Ford was making EB models avaible as stock orders for dealers due to the dealerships demands for stock units. My dealer was selling stock units (blue window sticker).
Thanks for the sarcastic reply . I am all for free market . I ordered a truck and put a deposit down. My order has no constraints,it is a 2023 model order and it was ordered the minute the order banks opened( supposedly). The 3 trucks on the lot are 2023 models , i could believe people would give up on 2021 orders ,but not after 5 months on a 2023 when people have waited nearly 2 years for their 2022 model.
You are showing that you are not all that versed in how this process works. Your hybrid is the biggest constraint of all the constraints, and time of order is irrelevant.
You have an agreement with your dealer. They placed a custom truck order for you. If/when it gets built, you can buy it. The other trucks on the lot have nothing to do with you or your order.
So time of order doesn't matter ? If Hybrid is the constraint why are 3 on the lot ?would people not wait for their rare hybrid? I'm hoping NoVaJimmy's theory is correct and it is people gaming the system but the cynic in me says they would have taken delivery and made the money themselves.
Stock orders are priority coded in a disadvantageous way when compared to customer orders. Customer orders are code 10 to 19. Stock orders start at 20 and vary to higher numbers sometimes depending on situation. There is no way a stock order was produced over your customer order. It is literally hard-coded. The dealer can't mess with it. Take a look at the window stickers. 99.9% chance they are green, which is customer orders. Blue would be stock. Go check it out for yourself.
