Now, granted, I'm moving from a 2008 Ranger single cab, but MY GOD, after picking up my truck yesterday I can't get over how HUGE it feels! Interior cabin feel is enormous, cavernous in comparison even to my old Honda CR-V. Even the exterior "feels" big to me, I went to apply a quick spray wax yesterday afternoon, having done the same job on my Ranger the weekend before, and it seemed like twice the work, area to cover. It's just fascinating, I'd previously seen a lot of pictures on here with side by side comparisons of the old rangers and the Maverick, I wasn't prepared for how much larger this vehicle would feel.

Don't get me wrong, I love every inch of it!! But for anybody who's thinking this is a teensy truck, they've got a reality check coming.
I'm waiting on an ordered xlt to come in but I took my current vehicle by CarMax to get a seller's quote, but while I was there I sat in the front seat and back seat of a white one they had just got in. I was impressed with the leg room.

It’s only teensy on the outside! I have the same reaction. As I walk up to my Mav, it seems so small … until I get in, then it feels huge!😁

We can't wait to get our hybrid maverick that's being built next month but it's going to look like a toy truck parked next to my 2022 crew cab Long bed F250 :ROFLMAO:

Went from a dinky Honda Civic to this and it's much bigger than what I was used to, and I love it. I have no need for a big truck and when I do I can still be glad to say I can depend on my dads F-150

I've had my Maverick a little over 24 hours now and this thread really sums up my first impressions. So I will resurrect it.
My Maverick is the largest of the five small trucks I have owned and does feel big even compared to my 2001 Ranger Super cab. My '24 Lariat hybrid is spunky and luxurious even compared to that current 2001 3 liter XLT. It well surpasses the MPG of my 30 MPG Courier which by comparison is a Model T. The courier was probably tougher, but not anything nearly as safe and comfortable. I do believe it could be a little smaller. Still lost in all the tech and the owner's manual, so I suspect that I'll be a little scarce around here for a while. I've got 22 years of catching up to do.

lol. I think it's just a psychology thing, plus factor in the new small truck thing.

The backseat is roomy but still smaller than my sedan 2011 camry.

White Lariat hybrid w/roof. 😋 Sounds nice!!!

When researching Maverick in Fall 2021, I found it was only 1" shorter and 3-4" slimmer than my Minivan. So basically the same size as the Kia Sedona I had. I try to drive the Maverick as such. If you carve turns, you will wear out the tires. Also, as you probably know, it also has F-150 lug nuts and torque. Make sure to retorque to 200 nm or 147.5 ft-lbs after a few hundred miles.
