Been there, done that! Besides feeling like I was in a kiddie car next to one of these behemoths when I was in my miata, the headlights of oncoming trucks always got me dead in the eyeballs.Of course the Maverick could be smaller. The F150 is just ridiculously huge. I honestly think the Maverick should be considered a midsize truck but Americans keep demanding bigger and bigger vehicles so there's nothing smaller.
Where's that graphic that shows the F150 over the years? The overall length has pretty much remained the same but the bed is barely half the size as a 1980s F150 while the height is more than a foot taller. It's like there's an arms race by the manufacturers to keep making taller and taller vehicles so drivers can continue to see over the vehicles in front of you. I pity the poor Miata drivers.
