My mileage is variable since I received it in April from 35 to 47.35 on my first 6409 miles for an overall mileage of 41.13 m/g. Traveling at 70mph is more around 35 and short dashes to town around 47. all of this is determined by a continuing spreadsheet with notes about where I filled up and drove to.

So I did a mileage summary a couple of months a go, feel free to check out my video on the results . This is by no means scientific or even 100% accurate. A couple of notes from my driving are.
- average mpg is over 10k, 41 mpg's
- All driving is in normal mode eco is terrible!
- over a third of my total driving has been in electric
- at over 10k miles I still had almost 10% oil life
- I drive normally, meaning not hypermiling, at or slightly over the spead limit
- I use regular mid grade gas
- I drive 60/40 highway

Yep, there are highways....and there are highways. I've gotten some of my best trip readings on long stretches of congested interstate. It really takes the sting out of a traffic jam, watching your mpg going up instead of down. Why did it take me so long to buy a hybrid?? 😉
Yes, indeed, congested interstates are the friend of Maverick Hybrid mpg’s because you can tun in electric mode for long stretches of highway.

I am averaging 31.7 over 11,000 miles traveled. I rarely take the truck on the freeway. However I live in the desert and use it to go from job site to job site. When I exit the truck I leave it running but put the AC on the lowest setting, so in essence my truck spends tons of time just sitting but on. Given this use case I think the 31 is very good. I do however have to change the oil more often because I realize this is pretty hard on an engine.

I did a calculation with my second tankfull. I found the truck gauge to be generous by a couple of %. But, error could be that's off. Still, I'll take the truck calculation to be in the ballpark over time. I'm gentle on the throttle and brakes and getting 45+ mpg's which I'm pretty confident with. Seems to jive.
Sounds like you drive like me.

Does it really matter, most of us are getting better MPG then we were getting on whatever vehicle we replaced. We also got a more useful vehicle with a bed for the now, and then projects. Same size with nice interior room, fits in average garage, yatta, yatta, yatta. Best Bang for the Buck out there!

I have been tracking my MPG via the pump and in Fuelio app:

Average fuel consumption over 10k miles: 37.52mpg
Best: 42.85mpg
Worst: 34.29mpg

These are per tank averages and are very well aligned the EPA numbers. The Maverick is equally driven by one more fuel conservative person and one that is less so.

Excellent result. My cumulative mpg per my dasboard (over 10,000+ miles) is 43.9, which is about 2.0-2.5 mpg higher than calculating mpg at gas tank fill-up time per my tests.

Like you I feel that at least 75% of my 10,000+ miles have been on interstates and highways. I would guess that my average mph on interstates around Atlanta has been 50-60 in fairly heavy traffic and 60-70 mph on long trips.

EDIT: I mistakenly said my cumulative mpg’s on my dashboard were 53.9. The number should have been 43.9; it has been corrected above.
Hey Gary-

I forgot which trim you have?

Did you catch my post where I discovered there's not really a "lifetime" MPG number in the on board system? This is the case in my XLT.

The data is FIFO - first in, first out. Once the data buffer is full, oldest data is constantly being overwritten.

Without documentation, I'm estimating the MPG moving average is at least the past 128 hours of driving, and at most, 166 hours of driving.

I'm averaging 38-39 mpg for the driving I do. My Maverick seems to have no problem getting around 40mpg on the highway

Averaging just over 40mpg so far, using the fill up/mileage method. Onboard number runs about 2mpg high, but seems to be getting slightly more accurate (tenths of an MPG) with each fill up.

I have an Android phone, and Fuelly doesn't have a native app for Android. I have to use the mobile site m.fuelly.com. I don't get all this data on the mobile website. Bummer.

However, I did add the Fuelly banner to my MTC signature.

I live on Hawai'i Island and drive 20 miles each direction to work. From 500ft ele to sea level and back. Per the dash I get about 60mpg downhill and 47 uphill. On school days it takes me 45min on the highway to get to town and back. I've checked actual gallons to miles a few times and average between 48 & 49mpg. I'm at 4000 miles on this oil change and the dash mpg average is 51. I drive in normal 90% of the time. in heavy rain I'll sometimes put it on the slippery mode (we get about 150in of rain a year). If I get behind a slowpoke I use sport to zip around.
