I believe with Synch4 you can press the "Action" button on the steering wheel and say, "Turn the AC to 78 degrees", and it will do it. That's even safer than the knobs!!I will not agree with that assessment. I believe the knob controls are much easier to work with than a touchscreen. Too many steps using the touchscreen, and it certainly takes your mind off of watching the road.
If you think three parts from Ford are less expensive than 1, I disagree.4 pages of Female emotions based on the looks of the front end.I like it just fine because I'm looking at the function of it. The bumper cover went from 1 piece to 3 and the headlights were moved out of harm's way. The middle piece with the flippers can now be disposable in a fender bender instead of the expensive headlights. Maybe Geico complained?
Underbite. Orc tusk. Maybe I shouldn't have asked for everyone's opinion. These are some thoughts/images I can't get out of my head.Still looks like an underbite to me.![]()
I think the point was: if you bump into someone and damage the front end, it's cheaper to replace that small piece on the '25 than the whole piece that wraps around the two sides on the '22-'24s.If you think three parts from Ford are less expensive than 1, I disagree.
25 front end loses on form and function vs 22-24.
Even your explanation is more complicated.I believe with Synch4 you can press the "Action" button on the steering wheel and say, "Turn the AC to 78 degrees", and it will do it. That's even safer than the knobs!!
All the non-knob AC controls which aren't intuitive even to someone who's owned the truck for 2 years, actually require one to look to the bottom of the dashboard!
One has to take his eyes completely off the road to look at those controls! When one looks at the screen, he still has periphery vision on the road (which is what prevents accidents). I concede the knobs don't require one to take his eyes off the road, but all the other controls absolutely do, and that's more dangerous than the screen controls.
And there's not "too many steps using the touch screen". The controls are right across the bottom of the screen. Doesn't that seem safer than the buttons being 2 feet further down the dashboard? Plus, being able to verbally say "Put all the air to the 'feet' vents" is safer & easier than either the dashboard or screen controls.Don't you agree?

Ohhh, you wanted the simple version?Even your explanation is more complicated.
This is what the front end should have looked like!I've been wanting the larger screen so badly for so long, they could have put the front end of a 1974 Volkswagen Thing on it, and I would have bought it. But seriously, I don't see why so many hate the front end of the 2025 Maverick. I actually like it. I think they did pick the best grill of the prototypes I saw.
What do y'all think? Below are the 1974 Thing, 2024 Maverick, and 2025 Maverick.

or the vw thing , either 1 is better than the c shape , fang looking piece added in.
The front end was fine. The new panels do not add balance to the front so the overall effect is that the cute little truck is hiding something. Looks like Ford designers just said, sorry, we just ran out of time.
As others have pointed out, it is the mystery dash cubby all over again, except now bystanders are left wondering what happened to that cute little truck they thought the Maverick was.
That wasn't the customization I was thinking about but.........Does anyone think one day we will see someone glue a bunch of horse hair to the front panel and give the 25 Maverick a nice thick handlebar mustache?
