The Ford Maverick Is Magical

Maverick Hybrid does have an in tank fuel pump. Since the Hybrid is NOT direct injection it runs a pressure of probably 58 psi. Which is the pressure most port style fuel injectors operate at. There is no need for an additional engine mounted fuel pump like a direct injection engine requires. While most new Fords do not have a return fuel system, due to how the Hybrid is set up...it might and that would explain the pressure in the fuel tank.

Probably the Maverick, and I've yet to see one on the lot at MSRP.

I spoke to a customer yesterday that found a dealership in PA that had one vehicle to build to fill their Maverick allotment and built it for stock. They found them by calling dealerships in the hopes of finding one somebody backed out of buying, and low and behold they were offering it for sale at MSRP.

Talk about luck! Talk about a dealership not seeking to exploit customers!

The fuel tank is pressurized for emissions control reasons. It is that simple folks.

If it does not hold pressure over X number of hours a leak is detected, you get a code and/or MIL "check engine" light, and you fail your emissions test.

Not a guess. A fact.

I don't know what's harder to find, a maverick on the lot selling for MSRP, or an honest politician.

Witchcraft, that's the only way to explain how fuel efficient the maverick is. Topped it off recently, it was saying the range was 503 miles. After making 4 drives totaling over 60 miles, it's now showing the range as 532 miles.

Witchcraft, it's the only logical explanation for what's going on here.
