No more torque when towing than a gas engine, because diesels have to be geared up due to low rpm. Performance is related to hp which is independent of gearing. Diesel vs gas is a contentious issue for off-roaders, there are just as many who prefer gas.If pointed towards the Off Road community, a diesel will provide a lot of torque at low, controllable engine rpms. Good also for torque needed when towing. Not so good in general for 'Go Fast' operation. So, what is the model being sold as...?
