The dreaded email from ford

Doubting my truck will go into production this month. Started with August 8th, then August 15th and now August 22nd for production. I know so many others are in the same situation. Hoping my expectations are met after waiting this long after placing my order Dec. 21'. Okay rant over......

That rant wasn't so bad, you can do better. I've been waiting, sometimes patiently, since October. A couple more months and you'll be able to rant properly.

Have you called Ford Marketing. I have never received an email but about a month ago I called and they gave me a VIN # and build date. I ordered a Hybrid, Lariat, Lux, Co pilot, SIBL on October 26.

Either Chat or Marketing 2 times a week…. In order processing, priority 02 for 3 months.

It gets worse once you enter production. Then you actually have hope. So the months inevitably spent in a rail yard awaiting the latest recall remedy are just extra torment.

We got only the "drop the constrained items" emails then the "you're scheduled for 8/29" emails. Fingers crossed!

Ordered a First Edition Rapid Red hybrid lux package and Copilot 360 with no other options or accessories on July 12, 2022 and have had a VIN since late March and build dates starting May 2 and pushed just about every week since. Have been in production status 132 days but truck finally entered assembly August 15 and modules came alive August 16. There is hope and light at the end of the tunnel. Dealer is as anxious as I as this will be their first First Edition and first Rapid Red they have received.

my order was 6/10/21 just built 8/8/22 I think! The chips are active but Ford still says in production for the last week. Good luck my friend.

You should have price protection and the interest rate at the time of your order. It is on the smart vincent. There are several threads on the topic but your dealer should honor those agreements if you entered into the agreement with your custom order.

You have a build date, even though changed and you describe that as a dreaded email? I ordered September 18 and have no VIN, no build date and no hope… I wish I had the dreaded email you received.
