Ford is not going to go public with the total number of orders and the number filled for MY22's. It would discourage people from lining up to order the MY23's. The handwriting on the length of wait would be on the wall for all to see!!!!
true but anyone looking to order a 23 will know by now...or should know...that there are orders a year old that still haven't been made ...they might not know the total numbers but knowing there are plenty of dormant orders out there since 2022 should give them all time to truly consider if they are prepared to wait 1-1.5 years to get one. It's not a secret, hopefully (right!) the dealers are upfront about this when they come in to order.

it‘s probably still supply chain dependent. No way to tell what they can build by the end of the model year.

Hang in there!
the actual constrant is that the plant is maxed out on capacity - they can produce 25k a month and typically they produce that - about 8-9K mavs and mid teens bronco sports. What we don't realize is that the bronco sports probably had a higher order rate than mavs and Ford builds them in proportions to the ordering volume.

It seems like a uniquely frustrating situation until you check out https://www.bronco6g.com and see people who have been waiting 2 years on their order in some cases. I think the auto industry will see repercussions down the road as people leave brands they've supported for years because of poor customer service and dealer shenanigans.

It's a tough time, but the perceived lack of communication gets outsized in a world where people obsessively track the status of everything on their smartphone. You can look at a live map of your Amazon driver cruising around the neighborhood until they stop at your house. Totally unnecessary and kind of unnerving that people would want to know that much detail. That being said, if you ordered this truck 20 years ago, and you called your dealer every other week or every month for 6-8 months with no update on your build, plenty of people would walk away and shop another product.

I think about my January order almost every day and I must say hope feels foolish at this point.

If Ford would ever just say how many orders there are and how many remain unscheduled, my guess is all of us still waiting would 🤮!

Bottom line: my truck ain't coming. Yours probably isn't either. At least not anytime soon.

I bet they saw the writing on the wall and realized they HAVE to shut down 2022 orders in order to not bump into 2023's. But, that may happen now since the reports are out the supply chain issue is getting worse.

Dec 26th order here fully loaded Lariat. I would not drop any constraints. Only the mudflaps if I knew that was the only hold up.
MY other cars are an F150 (to big) MR2 Spyder (to small). Retired now need to get to one car. At this point I would not be bothered with a 23. But concerned the order will get fouled up and or dealer sheananigans.

We reserved ($100) our Bronco Sport Badlands in July, 2020 and officially ordered around August 10, 2020...initially scheduled for arrival around mid November, then December, then Jan 2021, then Feb 2021, and I gave dealer the ultimatum of March 30th (wife's birthday) -- the Badlands was in our driveway on March 31st...I'm just giving everyone our perspective. She loves the Cactus Gray Badlands, just as an FYI...

Have had mine for exactly 2 months. It took within a couple days of 10 months till it arrived. Was it worth the wait, Yes but will never go through this again. Thankfully I had nice vehicles to drive during the wait.

I have an XL hybrid order with 360 package and I ordered it November 2021. Not yet scheduled. Still waiting an update from Ford.

Out of frustration, two months ago I quit checking with customer service and dealer for status of my 7/21 XLT hybrid Lux. Just a futile effort…it’ll get built and delivered at some point. Still no production date (at least I haven’t been notified). I get that my order is constrained. What I don’t get is how some vehicles with the same constraints that were ordered much later have already been delivered. Didn’t Ford say some time back that dealer allocations were being ignored and oldest orders given priority? Hopefully the bright side is that recently discovered glitches will be corrected in the later builds. Actually a 2023 model is starting to be a more attractive alternative at this point

It's unfortunate to hear from people who ordered so early in June and July of last year still waiting on their Mavericks. I feel like everyone that ordered in the first couple of months should've had theirs by now. The selective production system that Ford has is totally unfair, but I guess it goes according to availability of parts. Thankfully, I was fortunate to order in September, have it go into production in January, shipped February, and delivered in mid-March. Only a six month wait which isn't bad considering the circumstances we're in. If only it could be that way for everyone else. I am very sorry for anyone who ordered so early and are still waiting, highly discouraged and probably want to get something else at this point.

That lux package will make it real tough. You are probably right.
Ordered my XLT Oct 14, 2021 ... built May 27,2022 ... delivered to dealer June 20,2022. They are doing prep now ... will pick-up by the end of the week .... Just lucky I guess. I cancelled all add-ons. Ordered them ... they are at dealer and will be installed.
