I gave up a little over a month ago. Got a GMC Canyon instead. I kind of figured I'd get a notification my Mav was going to be built the day after I got the Canyon, but nope. I ordered 12/28/21, coming up on six months and no word yet on the Mav being built. If I still had an operational vehicle that would have passed inspection, I'd probably have waited it out, but, I traded in my vehicle which was NOT going to pass inspection when I ordered the Mav. So I pulled the trigger on something else. I mean that's why I ordered in the first place...I knew I needed something.

Was really looking forward to having a hot pepper red truck, but, I couldn't keep playing the waiting game. Good luck to you all still waiting, whatever you decide to do.

So, what part of that is the cold hard truth?
The fact that Ford is hopelessly behind and I'm out of luck as a result.

With all the sympathy of a frustrating situation, how about a little reality check… this ain’t a Kidney, your waiting for here. You will live.

Never said I wouldn't. In fact I never even claimed any hardship. Simply shared my belief the truck has barely a snowball's chance in hell of being built this year.

Being so far up on the waiting list, hold the line. You’re what keep all of us hopeful.

I don’t know that they are hopelessly behind, and you don’t know that you’re out of luck. Not truth, but conjecture. While waiting for mine, I eventually went with a neutral approach. It seemed better than a negative one.

Fair points. Also fair to say we don't know that Ford isn't hopelessly behind. Maybe Ford should just say how many orders are still unscheduled...

it‘s probably still supply chain dependent. No way to tell what they can build by the end of the model year.

Hang in there!

Dealership allocations and options on vehicle all cause for build orders to take a long time, not to mention shipping and manufacturing issues for parts. My base XL took 8 months to the day to arrive at dealership. I've had parts ordered for over 9 months for the restoration on my 1957 Chevy and still no word when they will arrive, some have been downloaded from the ship now for two months but not loaded on a truck from CA yet. It's the times we live in at this point.

I think about my January order almost every day and I must say hope feels foolish at this point.

If Ford would ever just say how many orders there are and how many remain unscheduled, my guess is all of us still waiting would 🤮!

Bottom line: my truck ain't coming. Yours probably isn't either. At least not anytime soon.
Hell, my dealer told me there was a good shot mine wouldn't be built as a 22 when I ordered mid January. I think they knew they weren't going to have many allocations and I haven't heard squat from them or Ford since then. I agree with your bold prediction about 40% of orders getting rolled. If I thought I'd have the Maverick in 12 months from order date, I'd probably ride it out, but I think I'll still be waiting a year from now, 18 months and worried about getting rolled to 24. I think their supply woes are worse than they say and their priorities are on more profitable vehicles.

We ordered the Ecoboost 8/22/21 and the truck was delivered today 6/21/22. You will have a long wait ahead of you. If the Ecoboost took 10 months I would imagine the Hybrid will be even longer. We originally ordered the Hybrid but changed it pretty quickly once I realized how long the wait was going to be.

I'm not worried about it. Have a super low miles fairly young model year Ford Escape I drive and only drive about 10 miles round trip to work every day. Its a good vehicle and is no need of replacement by any means, just wanted a little truck. I'm a January 24th order with a couple constraints but I'll wait for what I ordered. No big deal. My only aggravation is I work literally right next door to the dealership from which I ordered from so I see what's on the trucks when they deliver new vehicles so I get constantly reminded that I am waiting.....haha!

It'll come dont worry. Summer is gonna be over before you know it. Then theres the mid terms, then the holidays. As Ferris Bueler once said, "life moves by pretty fast, if you dont stop and look around once in while, you're gonna miss it". My old cars still run mostly, and I got back up parts if not. A month ago my wife had a surgery, 3 months ago we ordered a $3000 sleep number bed, today we installed it, 3 years ago we married the first time, 1 year ago we married officially, 7 years ago we met and fell in love.

All of these things seem like the happened yesterday and at the same time forever ago. I am excited about our Maverick order. It will be my first new car. It will be special and this wait is all the part of that story.
