LOL, I assume you are replying to my post... maybe you did not see " slightly concerned " (slight-ly {adverb} 1. to a small degree; not considerably). I was not obsessed with it, but I would think any weight limits of the gate are determined while being suspended equally from both sides and not from one cable on one side. I am glad to hear you would not have worried about it.
Well... I'll say that if I were out tinkering w/ something near the back of the truck and happened to have the appropriate tools nearby I MIGHT try turning the four cable mounting points to see if making adjustments would redistribute things. 😁

I remember being slightly concerned that I might have the same problem while I was waiting almost a year for my truck but was happy to find they were both exactly the same length. If I had this problem and because I am a tiny bit OCD I probably would have sought a solution from Ford and barring that bought replacement ones from Ford in the hopes that I could find at least 2 the same length from the 4 cables.
Thanks. I have measured cables and they are the same length — The upper pins are not the same though, one is 1/2” higher.
The dealership told me all 2025 Mavericks are made that way?? I just can’t understand the logic in that. I did try and contact Ford Company with no response

I never use the the half-way position of the tailgate for hauling items like plywood. Rather, I use a wooden support that is the same height as the wheel wells and tie things down using the tailgate anchors.

☝☝☝☝☝☝
Why would you build a support, when the tailgate is designed to be the same height as the wheel wells when it is in the semi-raised position?🤷‍♂️

I just measured my upper pins and took pictures they're both identical.
2 1/2" both sides.

now that you point it out. my driver side cable is loose both when the tailgate is fully down and its really loose at 3/4. my passenger side cable is always tight and seems to be holding all the load.

oh if only there were a search function where I could find the answers to questions asked many times over...

twist the slack one... you'll be good.
interesting. the twist DID tighten up my driver side cable...but now the passenger side cable is the side thats loose. removing the twisted cable makes it pop out at you and untwist itself.

i am just going to leave everything back to the original position, pretend i never tried to fix it, find an excuse to open the tailgate in front of the Ford dealer service guy....and finally ask the dealer if its normal.
