That's half the purpose of the camera if you ask me.

Some people like the improved angle and point of view with the tailgate partially opened.

Maybe 'Zoom' is not available on the lower trims that do not have the Sync 3 screen.

what about the zoom feature on the camera?

I didn't see the sensors on his bumper so I don't think he had an upper trim model, but does have the zoom. Leave it normal until you get close, then [+] for final approach. Also, only raise the trailer tongue to slightly above the ball.
