Finally got my stubby antenna i see no difference in reception. Got tired of taking the stock one off to put truck cover on. That's right my maverick sleeps in my garage with a cover on her every night. lol got it from carcovers.com fits like a glove

Was wondering if the stubby antenna works as well as the stock one why did ford go with the longer one ?
Also, LOVE the flag/eagle window decal ! was thinking what it would look like with the a rear opening window???

has anyone conducted a research on the radio reception with regular antenna vs. stubby vs. without antenna? Looks to me they all work the same.

One of the first things I did for my Maverick. Didn't like the long antenna and having the Stubby hasn't effected reception. Don't listen that much to radio anyway.

Ya, I always thought the Maverick looked like one of those radio controlled trucks with the stock antenna. Much better look

The stubby antenna was one of the few mods I actually did aside from replacing the door speakers. No issues with reception and don't much care anyway. Why they didn't just go with a shark fin is beyond me.

Did you buy rear window decal that was specifically for Maverick or did you have to trim it to fit? Most of the ones I see on Amazon are a lot larger than Maverick rear window

I actually lost few stations with the Stubby but don't care much... Keeping the factory one in the glove box in case I need it.
