Beautiful truckFinally got my stubby antenna i see no difference in reception. Got tired of taking the stock one off to put truck cover on. That's right my maverick sleeps in my garage with a cover on her every night. lol got it from carcovers.com fits like a glove

I really like your truck. Wouldn't it be more likely to cause wear damage to your paint by putting on and taking off a cover every day then just by leaving it off?

Stubby is okay for a metro area. It's more for looks as its reception is poor away from the city.
I bought the stubby to prevent me from hitting it when loading canoes. Turns out the longer flexible antenna is better than a solid antenna if you accidently hit it. Stubby stays in the glove box in case I am traveling and have a boat up there that hits the factory antenna.

I took the antenna completely off of mine. Radio sounds exactly the same. But I don't listen to the radio anyway and only use Spotify for music so it wouldn't really bother me either way lol.
