I wouldn't say spot on when the reviewer calls driving the Hybrid "awful."

I'm genuinely surprised how much I enjoy driving the truck. The handling is fun, with just enough body roll to feel like a truck but still tossable like a car. The E-CVT transmission is genuinely good (my GF has had a series of Subaru with their *real* CVTs, and THOSE are awful), keeping it in electric mode as much as possible is a neat little game to play, and I find it quiet and smooth on the road. About the only disappointment to me are the brakes, which feel like they could be both stronger and more refined, but they're still fine.

Oh well, to each their own!
I wouldn't call the brakes bad, just different with the regenerative mode kicking in. You get used to them and then learn to keep that power meter (?) In the green.
I remember when I test drove a hybrid. As we were coming up to a stop sign the salesman put his hands on the dash ready for me to mash the brakes.

I think I recognize Synners shoes from a previous thread !
Must be him ..........
I just bought those shoes to replace my other Hoka’s (in fact one thread turned on a shoe discussion). My Hoka Bondi’s (Black) were wearing thin and they had the blues. Instead of black again I got blue

Also, the claim that it has more pick up or boost than a V8? That’s just way off. I had a Nissan Murano (2017) that had a V6 in it. There is no way, shape or form, that this has more of a pick up than that did. I could fly down the road with that thing. I loved when I had to get next to somebody who was trying to beat me on the road and I just accelerate and I beat them. I am one of those drivers. I’m not going to deny that. I have a leadfoot. And I’m not apologizing over it. You can definitely tell this does not have that same kind of push
Look up the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of that 2017 Murano and the Hybrid and Eco Boost Mavericks and get back to us with the results!!

Late to the party! Great Thread.

Just proves the old saying

Never insult a Mans Dog or Truck! (some would also say Mother) Unless you are picking a fight.

I love the Hybrid. Drives great and I get 45MPG to boot.

I went with XLT Lux to get better seats, etc. Now one could argue that Lux is a bit of a misnomer since it is hardly luxurious :).! But is it comfortable enough for Grandma and I to rode trip in.

So to each their own. If you want noise and comfort, go spend about 3 to 4 times the cost of the Mav on a full size truck. I will keep my little guy.

To each their own. Life would be boring otherwise!
The OP is on the F-150 forum asking about seat comfort and Mileage. If he gets an F-150 I'm sure He'll be on there complaining about something. I get on the F-150 site every night since I had many F-150's before the BS BB and the Maverick I have now.

Ford Maverick Spot on Maverick review/walk-through 0-60-Ford-Nissan

The less capable 2024 (versus the upgraded 2025 motor; stats not available on that site yet) Ford Hybrid Maverick is dead even with that Nissan V6 and the Nissan gets smoked by the Ford Ecoboost Maverick. The upgraded 2025 Hybrid is close competition to the Lobo Ecoboost in the TTL drag strip test, so I'd wager it surpasses the Murano too.

Motorweek tested a 2025 Maverick XLT AWD Hybrid 0-60 was 6.9 and 1/4 Mile was 15.1@91 MPH. the 2022 Maverick AWD Lariat 2.0 EB Motorweek tested 0-60 was 6.2 and 1/4 Mile was 14.8@93 MPH!!

I looked for Motorweek specs of the 2017 Murano for a fair comparison from the same site.
0-60 @ 7.47 seconds
1/4 mile @ 15.7 seconds @ 90mph
The 2025 Murano model only improves by 0.2 seconds for a 7.2 second 0-60 test. That puts the 2025 Ford Hybrid at 0.5 seconds faster in the 0-60 test and a 0.6 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile versus the 2017.

I tried on Hokas once, not very comfortable and ridiculously over priced.
Kinda like the Maverick seats right ?

I have not so perfect feet. Only ‘Zero Drop’ shoes work for me when I’m doing scrambles in my mountains.

That guy, the reviewer seems to know little about life with a truck.
That has to be the most f’ed up review I’ve seen yet.
I think the XL is just fine without pussy boy features like remotely adjustable mirrors and electric seats.

We were men once,
Remember ?

Sez me who bought the Lariat Ecoboost.
And Is blissfully happy with 27 mpg.
I love my heated seats.

Well you made up that story about Ford dropping Carplay and Android Auto on future vehicles. Or I guess at the very least you fell for a fake AI article.
You also created this very thread with that clickbait video and you were clearly and very surely posting that just to be a troll. There is NO other reason to post a click bait video like that one in addition to the very troll like thread topic you used "Spot on Maverick review/walk-through"
So yeah, we could totally see you making up even having a Maverick.

Actually, yes that is being overly sensitive.

That's exactly what everyone else here is always wondering about you.
1) Didn’t make up the CarPlay article. I’m looking but I WILL find the exact article i was reading
2) Me being a troll is how you and others perceive it
3) Still not sensitive. But
Love my Hoka Bondi 9's. (the ones on the left).
