Speedometer off....anyone else?

23XL hybrid. So i have used 3 phone gps waze apps and they are consistent 1mph off. Went passed a digital speed sign today and same thing. I have to set CC 1mph over to be doing the posted speed limit. I know it's not a big deal and big world problems right...I mean c'mon it's a 23 and all computers are smart right. Anyways, just wondering if it's a thing. Oh and I drive like that because I am not in a hurry and I like to try and get the most out of each tank of fuel. Currently at 470miles and between 1/2 n 1/4

Escape is the same for me. Speedometer is 1MPH slower than Waze.

Off 1 mph at what speed, 100 mph? 10 mph?

Adjust the tire pressure by 2 psi. LOL. The minute tire OD difference will compensate for the negligible speedometer difference, Or drive in temps that are 10* different than you current test as temp effects pressure (which effects diameter).

So.... About GPS first: it's always off by 1-3 miles due to triangulation(known fact). 2) digital street sight is always incorrect.... It cost money to correctly set it up and monthly maintenance( ask a police officer who stoped you when it was last time serviced and you might get out of ticket if it's above 30 days).
3) vehicle speedometer vs digital is off by 1-2 miles.... In Nova days I will trust digital more. Than blank needle spot.

most if not all vehicle speedometers overestimate MPH by 1-2 miles across manufaturers and model lines. in my admittetly limited experience this discrepency is something of a 'thing' thats very comman.

All vehicles are. My last 4 vehicles were anywhere from 1 to 3 MPH slower than the speedometer. IMO i think it's to get you out of warranty faster. Just my tin foil hat talking.
