Someone has been joyriding my Maverick in Mexico

About a week ago, I requested access to my being-built 2024 Maverick. A few days ago, I noticed that the picture in the FordPass App matched the Carbonized Gray BAP. But today, as I was doing something on the computer, my phone beeped and told me "You have successfully been authorized to remotely control and view the location of "2024 Maverick", the name I had given it when I added the VIN to my Fordpass.

Someone has put 37 miles on it! But seriously, I wonder if the battery will last long enough for me to track it this way, instead of bugging the dealer for a VinView screenshot.

Some folks had that happen last year...and I think someone recently had theirs approved as well. About the time someone uses the authorization to remote start it, that's about the time Ford would likely stop it from happening. My 2023 did not get started until the dealer activated it with me. I put the VINS into FordPass as soon as I got them.

Mine had 32 miles in it when I received it, with a sticker in the back window stating it was selected for additional quality testing. I did not have access to it at the factory via Fordpass app. My dealer set it up for me while he was demo-ing my truck with me. Not sure how you got early access?

It is going to be interesting seeing if any location updates start showing between there and here.

My 23 had ~26 miles at delivery. They pick a couple going down & back for the SIBL, and as mentioned, some are randomly test driven to spot check for QA. - They'll usually leave a note in or on the vehicle.

Vehicles are much more likely to be abused upon arrival at the dealership. I was once driving into a MA Toyota dealership to look at a RAV4 two door 30 years ago. Sure enough, I drove through the back lot just as the teenagers prepping the car were popping wheelies with it. I kept right on driving. True story.

Ask what is the price for this “used vehicle”.
mine had 8 miles when I drove out the dealer.

My F250 had 80+ mikes, and bed in back scratched up badly. I was OK with that cause it was gonna get spray liner anyway.
