Solar powered TPMS to monitor Maverick tires while flat towing

Just about to install a stand alone solar powered TPMS on the Maverick. I flat tow the Maverick behind my RV and want to monitor the tire pressure and tire temperatures and know what’s going on back there before something catastrophic happens any one used this type of system on their Maverick?

I don't flat tow, but I use those kits on my older vehicles that don't have TPMS. They work great! The sensors that come in the kit will certainly be able to attach to the existing valve stems and work separately from the sensors inside the wheels

Have something similar on my single axle boat trailer. They work great.

Seems to be good enough for what I need - the price was right - I need to adjust the tire pressures a little and of course the display will sit on the RV dash while the Maverick is being flat towed I probably will remove the tire sensors and reinstall before the trips

Shouldn't the tires be balanced with them mounted on valve stems?

I would probably rebalance the tire with the sensors installed if I were going to run these full time even though they are pretty lightweight but since I will install them only when flat towing the Maverick then go back to the valve stem caps I see no need too - good point though

At $38 I might use this on my wife's car (aka the back up vehicle) instead of replacing the failing 16 year old TPMS sensors. New sensors for my new wheels were $200, I wanted the metal stems on the new rims and sold my BAP wheels and tires to a friend with an XL.
