Bye?

I struggle to find a better word to describe these self aggrandizing it's my world, Ford better fix it threads other than pathetic.

You placed an order for a vehicle, that has not come yet.

Ford didn't screw you. The dealership didn't screw you. Your life is not irreparably harmed as a result.

Dozens of other manufacturers make hundreds of other models and there are tens of thousands of vehicles for sale in the United States.

Vehicles get you from point A to point B. Some better than others. It's crazy to me how many folks let this affect their lives so greatly.
He didn't blame anyone. He just said he's tired of waiting. Plenty of things to blame Ford about after you own a Ford. There're so many people in this forum waiting to jump and defend Ford for anything and that's more pathetic. Crazy how many people defend companies that don't care about you or anything other than profits and let posts like this offend them so greatly.

I BLAME Ford for taking double the amount of hybrid orders they could possibly make in 2023. . Thats inexcusable in my opinion as a simple cut off by computer could have stopped that. Sure take maybe 15 percent more but double is just stupid.

Thats fine and a reasonable opinion. I blame Ford for having bad dealers and their service departments. Constant recalls and warranty work would be ok if their dealers weren't so damn bad now.

Unless you are in real need of a different vehicle right now, consider waiting. As difficult as it may be: Maintain!! You have waited this long and as just about everyone on this forum says: "It is worth the wait"!!! By the time you find and order, if you buy something else, you will more than likely get a build date. Hang in there!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and in your case, it does not seem to be an oncoming locomotive!!;):)

OH, while waiting, feel free to vent on this forum; most of us have been there!!!!!

A lot of 2022 Bronco Sports sitting on dealer lots around here.(Florida). Walk in and drive out.
That sounds attractive and hard to resist. But, after 15 months, my Maverick is getting built on Monday. If I had known it was going to take this long..................

Yup. This place helped. Also helping was the Ford Video Guy and my dealer that I saw every other week.

October 2021 order here as well, I'll be going back to an F150 this summer if I don't have mine by then. I don't necessarily need the extra capability at this point, but with falling used prices, even paying extra for fuel, the math is working out less favorably to buy new over used - another 10-15% drop in used F150 prices will seal the deal for me. I've made this last year work without a truck however after some life changes I'll be getting back into some things and need a truck, the Maverick would still mostly suffice however at some point the tradeoff in capability over price and MPG won't be worth it anymore.

I agree about be patient and waiting . BUT the reality of 2023 hybrid orders is half wont ever get theirs. So no chance of even 15 month waits. And there is no carry over to the 2024 model. So get back in a NEW line for a 2024 order and I bet Ford lets double the order amount again. So potentially a 2 year or even longer wait into a 2025.

BUT now we have taken over the OP original question about what other vehicles may he want to look at. To the OP. Price range would be helpful. I suggested cars in the same price range as the Mav. Some have suggested cars 10 K higher. So does it have to be a pickup and price range.

I agree that it seems many 23 hybrid orders may not be filled and at this point a roll over to 24 looks unlikely. However, in this case the OP is a 22 rollover and "should" be filled shortly if he is next in line at his dealer as he has been told.

Not trying to change the thread discussion away from OP question. "Done waiting, any ideas?" Just my idea is that OP should perhaps not be done waiting!

SEL FWD activity package in sage gray. Much better build quality than a Maverick. Most of the options I needed/wanted. Nice comfy, truly quiet interior with better seats. Haven’t hit 1000 miles yet but mpg around town 22ish, highway 28-29ish. I’m no longer driving long distance and miles per year went from 15,000+ to 5000 or less, so really be need of a hybrid.
Good for you! Sounds great! The one I drove was the same, but in Blue Stone. I need an AWD, but that is the only one they had that wasn’t the 2.5L Turbo and DCT. It drove nice and was quiet. It did seem to be built really well and from what I recall from the Mav I sat in, was much nicer inside. Better standard features. Great warranty too. I’m just keeping my options open at this point, but it is a contender.

Okay tell me why it would be so hard to stop orders before DOUBLE the amount could be made. Yes yes dealer allocations. Well limit each state total by number of dealers. The subdivide that be allocations. Its not rocket science.

Thanks for checking. I've been looking too. Problem is I live in the U.P. All of the ones that normally come available are 8+ hours away. Not interested in trying to drive one back during the winter around here. Plus, we just totaled our new car hitting a deer. That would be our luck again!!
Well now I understand - you said "I'm out. " Thankfully you clarified that A: You didnt want to drive a vehicle back 8 hours, B: You didnt want to drive in the winter in Michigan, C: You think that if you buy a new Maverick you will hit a deer again ( but not in the other suggested new vehicles Im guessing ? ) Well then - now that everyone knows what situation you are in , there will probably be three or 4 dealers contacting you to deliver at no charge the next truck they have available. You are the only person that has had to wait and I agree you should end this nightmare.........
