yeah - I think the Skar needs a lot more power than the B&O amp can provide. and if you give it more power, definitely go ahead and build a real box. what you did (OP) was a pretty good decision to use a fairly efficient sub. high power, long excursion subs aren't very efficient so they won't perform with low power.Yeah, Is that the scar evl? I considered that sub. If I remember correctly it needs a lot of power to run it, and I wasn't sure the B&O amp would have enough juice to run a 200 rms dual coil sub. Plus, I didn't want to cut the enclosure.
I bet you'd get a lot more out of that if you hooked it up to a mono sub amp. But I guess at that point you might as well scrap the whole B&O enclosure too.
I tried to keep it simple. It added depth while remaining balanced. I love it. But you can't expect miracles.
