Side curtain air bag recall -- insurance issue if I don't do?

All I got was a headliner with a bunch of greasy finger prints all over it after I got the recall done. No tumbler and no explanation from the service department at my dealer. Just a couple of shoulder shrugs form the tech and service advisor.

So if I had to do it all over again no I would not get the recall done.

Sorry for your greasy headliner, but if you complained they should have cleaned it up for you and as long as the dealership performed the recall - all customers should get their yeti

I think you misread my post or I didn't explain it properly. I did complain to both the service advisor and the tech about the greasy finger prints and all I got was a couple shoulder shrugs.

I had 3 dealers tell me that they cant do the recall unless the truck has already been in a wreck. I will have to call Ford on monday. People suck.

Thats what i said. Literally told them it makes no sense to have a safety recall done after having the bad ones deploy.

I have enough rattles in the Maverick don’t need any more I’m good. Probably keeping it one more year anyway.

Waited long enough for parts but finally got the recall for the side curtain airbags. Lsst week i got a pkge from Ford, thanking me for being patient and getting the recall completed. This is what they sent me....

Thanks Ford, really appreciate the gift.

Had my airbags done same thing fingerprints all over the headliner and headliner hanging down .

I received an email today that the parts are now available. I have not decided yet about getting the airbag installed....

I had my done came back with fingerprints all over the headliner. The headliner hangs down now .
