I'm not mad. I'm just not surprised at the $42k price point you aren't satisfied. For $29k the rattles might be part of the charm.

Apologies for coming off like I was attacking you. As you said, it's your money. Sounds like you would be happier with something a bit more refined, which is totally valid.
"The 2024 Ford Maverick XLT has a starting MSRP of approximately $26,420 (plus $1,595 destination) for the base model, with prices typically ranging between $28,000 and $33,000+ when equipped with popular options like the hybrid engine, AWD, or the XLT Luxury Package."
"The 2024 Ford Maverick Lariat has a starting MSRP of approximately $34,855 to $36,555 (excluding destination charges), often equipped with standard all-wheel drive and the 2.0L EcoBoost engine. With destination fees and popular options like the hybrid engine or luxury packages, total MSRP often reaches over $39,000. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]"
Where is that 22k difference between you xlt and the Lariat? The Maverick was a 20k truck in 2022 only. Why did you pay for a xlt? xl is same truck right?

Agreed, let Ford fix it under warranty. If they can't make them replace it or do a buyback. I doubt this is a common problem, no rattles in mine.
Exactly! People, take it back to the dealer. That's why you have a warranty. Here in Massachusetts, we have the lemon law where if the dealer can't fix the problem after 3-4 times--they have to replace or buy back. Other states have this law also.
I guess I lucked out--I way overpaid for my XLT but I have had no noises or hybrid deep sleep. and I do get the 54 mpg in the summer. Just that stupid backup camera recall that I can't seem to get in to get fixed because they are backed up with all the recalls and no loaner cars. oh well.

I paid $32k for my truck. I paid up for the XLT with the lux package, AWD, off road and tow packages. Seemed like a good deal.

And why are you mad?

Fair enough and sorry tone is damn near impossible to read in text

I'm not mad. I bought a lariat:crackup:. So you paid 32k for a 20k truck. I paid 37k OTD.
But I didn't say " The only reason the Lariat trim exists is to print money. Who would have dreamt that a $20,000 truck, buil to be as cheap as possible, would then have $22,000 in additional added features, none of which change a single thing about the materials or build quality? You are getting vinyl seats, a laminated windshield, shiny wheels and some additional software. In a truck built specifically to be cheap. It makes no sense. It would be like having a luxury edition Geo Metro. Completely antithetical to the purpose of the vehicle."
Yet you bought the LUX package. See the hypocrisy inherent in the system?

You've cracked the case, Columbo. I have heated seats.

Got my 2024 AWD Ecoboost Lariat for $36,000.
Why because I wanted Lariat specific upgrades and enhancements.
I didn’t piss and moan about the price.

If all I could have afforded was the XL I’d be fine.
