I was the first to order a 23 from my local, small dealer. I'm priority 10, he has an allocation, and I ordered on the first day. I have no idea where I fit in Ford's ranking system but they have proven that they don't care about the customer. If Ford can't produce my Hybrid Lariat then they should give me the opportunity to switch to an EB. I need a small pickup and I will go to the competition if Ford continues to lie to its customers.

Maybe they should cancel any second or third 2023 orders for a person. Limit one per person until they are caught up. Same thing with current 2022 owners. Eliminate the resale frenzy. Let each of us get one before building duplicate orders.

First off this has nothing to do with roll over orders ONLY new 2023 orders.

Am I the only one that thinks Ford should cancel at least 20 thousand of the 2023 Hybrid orders?. From what I have read here they took about 30 thousand orders to many for the 2023 hybrid model. Or should Ford let people hang even though Ford knows they cant even come close to fulfill those orders.

If that is what Ford does I guess they don't believe it will hurt them at all making 30 thousand people mad? Yes having your order cancelled would anger some too BUT I think more angry after waiting 12 months to be told Sorry we cant build your 2023 order BUT get in line for a 2024 at the new higher price?
If they have no plan to increase production and they are not planning to roll the excess over to a 24, then YES they should cancel the orders and we that get cancelled can make other plans

Yeah, right inept planning. They didn’t plan for a pandemic and then years of parts constraints. Those idiots.
Inept planning. Not being able to see that the market was ripe for a truck like the Maverick. The three piece suits can't see past a $60,000.00 sticker and don't understand their buying public. INEPT PLANNING.

Deposits....ouch. 20,000 deposits, $500 per person (I am sure some had no deposit so there is a 1/2 option). That's $10,000,000 at $500 each and $5,000,000 at an average of $250 each....

Doesn't matter, If Ford ain't going to build it, you should get your deposit back anyway

This. I've been saying this. Ford's system can tell the folks who ordered multiples and multiples more, kick the excess to priority 200 or something, to give the folks who just want one blasted Maverick a chance.

I ordered my Maverick as a soon as possible on the first day their system would actually take orders, from the 2nd largest dealer in the metro area that has been family owned for more than 50 years.

If being early, so to speak, and they still cannot build you a vehicle, why would you take the risk of ordering any vehicle from them in the future?

I have to admit for me a huge draw was being eligible for the A-plan. However, what good is that if that potentially pushes you to the back of the line, so to speak, and you get no product?

I won't cancel my order, but come say March of 2023, I'll have to make a decision whether to order something else from another company, as I need a vehicle by end of next summer.

Brand loyalty is all marketing for the most part...

Being first to order increases your odds of getting one sooner, but doesn't guarantee anything. We all ordered the same week. More depends on what's available when, and allocations.

So to sum it all up. Ford has no good reason to cancel any orders and even if they wanted too no clear way to do it.

I still say I would much rather know if there is even a chance of getting one. From what i see here its a 50 50 shot for a hybrid. For Ecoboost looks like 100 percent will get them . Those are some really poor odds for hybrid.
