Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

Not surprising to see quite a number of senior owners. Our needs are different than when we were in our 30s, 40s, and 50s. I’m 69 and don’t haul, tow, or commute the way I used to. Smaller truck for light hauling or towing just fits our needs, not to mention fuel savings!

Mik I have a XS650, RD350 and several Yamaha enduros my Mav is a great truck

I got rid of my last dirt bike a couple of years ago, now I'm down to a NC750X . They call it an "Adventure Bike" but it's kinda heavy.
Yeah, the Mav IS a great truck, I wasn't about to get one of the big behemoths the regular pickups have turned into.

Sounds like a bunch of youngsters here. I'm pushing 87, super proud on my '23 Lariat Hybrid following our travels behind (towing) our motorhome. At 4,150 miles I'm scheduled for oil change tomorrow.

Got me by 6mo.

Turned 68 in August and I'm already on my second Maverick. First one got wasted on Hwy 395 by a young driver who wasn't paying attention & pulled out of a side road right in front of me. All I could do was to try to hit him in a way that wouldn't kill us all. Everyone was OK in the end, but the Area 51 XL was totaled. Driving a Hot Pepper Red Lariat now, thanks to the insurance settlement.

I am 76. I had a Hyundai Santa Cruz limited which got totaled in a accident. Insurance paid off the Hyundai and I made the decision to purchase a Maverick to replace it. Mine is a 2023 Lariat lux package, copilot assist, 4k tow package, AWD in Hot pepper red with the black appearance group. Mobile amateur radio station WB5OXQ.

I guess youcould call me a senior I’m 88 and very happy with my 23 XLT waited 15mo. Toget it , 46 mpg on all tanks. So far.

66 1/2. Medicare, Social Security, pension, but I pay my bills by teaching yoga. Waited 22 months for my Hot Pepper Red '23 XLT Hybrid. With sunroof. Always order the sunroof.

OK SamCat13, that Lariat with a touch of chrome is looking sharp! If I could ask, where did you locate the chrome? The only thing I don't like about my Lariat is the lack of chrome.

23 XLT Lux Hybrid Alto Blue. Picked up early April and getting its first oil change next week. First Pickup and enjoy it thoroughly.

I'm most likely the oldest on the forum at 79. I drove off the lot on 1/6/22 and have put on a whopping 1,800 miles so far. It's a wonderful truck and my only regret is it's come 20 years late for me!

I’m 80, will be 81 when I receive mine late December or early January
