At 69, ordered my 22 Lariat 1/22, and received 10/22. Worth the wait, and at almost 1 year, and 7000 miles, not a single problem. Loving my move from a series of 4 Rangers.

Thanks for birthday wishes! I’m assuming you as well?
Buying this truck at this time of my life was a no brainer! At that price-point I was lucky to find what I wanted, base XL in dark grey or black.
Retired just one year, I sold my Focus and Ridgeline (243K miles and still going!!!)
The more I drive it the happier I am 🤗 and Coco loves it! 🐶💕
Yes, a couple weeks ago👍🏻 I love the Ridgeline but I wasn’t willing to spend that much for a truck with that mpg. I also love, love BabyBluz as this is my second Maverick 🥰 It definitely looks like Coco enjoys her truck! KojiMo loves his😊

Thanks for info on the leafs. 1st of November it is then.
Howdy Ozarkbeard,

how’s the leafs over in Northwest Arkansas. Have they turned color yet? My wife turns 72 Wednesday and she’s wanting to see some fall colors, so was thinking to drive over in that area, rather than go up north somewhere.

How cool! What you started is still going, over 300 posts. With Halloween coming,,, I'm thinking,,, "you have created a monster" lol
Looks like the thread has slowed down a bit since last week.

Your 12 campuses, 3000+ computers, and 20 servers puts our one building, 150 computers and 15 servers to shame. You have done well, grasshopper.
By time I retired I was assigned only 3 campuses with maybe 250-300 computers and 50 printers most of our servers had been centralized at the main office and only time I stepped in server room was to repair hardware. Boss learned hard way not to let young’uns touch the hardware when he let one of them try to replace a circuit board in a $20,000 router. They had it all screwed up with trying to force the bad circuit board out. I took it to my workbench and took it all apart had pieces laying all over my 8 foot bench. Boss came by and saw it and nearly had a panic attack. He told me “you know that thing cost $20,000, you did take pictures of it as you took it apart”. I just shook my head and said “nope, it had to come apart to get new circuit board in it”. 30 minutes later I carried it to him put back together. From then on any hardware that needed repair or upgrades were brought to me.

I am 73 years old and got mine about a month ago. 23 white XLT hybrid, lux, bap, 360 and I love this truck. Retired from farming and haven't bought any $5 diesel for my Dodge since I got the Maverick. My Fuelly app says I get 44 mpg and the Truck computer showed 44.4. Amazing how it can be that close. That is driving on rural roads very little 4 lane and I can live with that. I don't take enough trips to worry about what it will get on interstates.

73 last July, and lovin' my Hot Pepper Red XLT hybrid that we just picked up last week after ordering it in Sept. '22. It has less the 300 mi. but it seems such a Nice compact short-bed truck; good visibility and driver assist safety features(we have CoPilot360), and very good mpg so far.

Nope. Too early right now. Typically, peak fall color in Carroll County is right around Halloween.
Any more though, that's not a sure thing.
How’s the leafs? Showing much color yet up there in northwest Arkansas?Wife’s birthday Wednesday and she wants to go see fall colors.

Still looks like peak will be right around Halloween. Some color starting to show. Northern part of Hwy 23, although not peak, is nice. The elk are rutting, too. Best in Newton County, Boxley Valley area near Ponca, dusky dark or early mornings the best times. Hwy 21.

Along a similar line, but a bit off thread topic………….
Back in 1971, I was stationed at Osan Air Base, South Korea. Worked at a small radio relay shop. Kind of a small, inter-base telephone central office. Bases connected via multiplex radio rather than by cable.
Anyway………….
There was an older civilian tech, been there since the war (less than 20 years prior) who was assigned his own aircraft and pilot, and who would fly all over Korea, solving electronics problems which had stymied the locals.
After fixing a problem for us, explaining it all for me, I asked him to mark a print of the mods he had done to a circuit, for our records.
He said that would not!
His value lay in the fact that, all over South Korea, there were mods to circuitry that were recorded only in his brain. The powers-that-be could not transfer him back to the States, where he owed over a decade in back alimony!

No telling how much equipment I saved from the junk pile. Other techs would just take it out and replace with new. Laser printers and laptops in particular.

Am 71 here. Told the Mrs. that I would drive my 2011 Ranger till either it or I dropped - or until someone came out with a small hybrid truck. Ordered it on 9/20/22 and picked it up on 7/21. Looks like I may have to find the button to open the gas tank door in a week or two. Such fun to drive!
HaHa It's near the light switch control to left of steering wheel. I went months before I had to get my 1st tank of gas. Enjoy your Maverick. I'm 69 had my truck since July 2022.

I'm a ripe-old 47 but my kids make me feel older, but I did notice even before I picked up my Maverick that a lot of older folks were the primary drivers around here
That could be because being older we don't wish to pay more for a vehicle than we did our first houses!!! I don't live in mine, but sure enjoy driving it.
